Just called to place a huge family order for pick up at the Wycliff location, and was told there were no baked potatoes... available. Then made the mistake of calling the Medical District location, and was actually told no pick up orders are taken,to just come in and order? What a ridiculous way to run a RIDICULOUS business. Food was good, and the people were great. The restaurant was very clean, plenty of space, and largely empty since we showed up... late in the evening. The food is good enough that I would expect they get pretty busy during common meal hours. The brisket Ihad tasted great, but may have been just a little past its prime serving time (slightly dry). I suspect this might have beendue to our wandering in so late in the evening. The Mac?a?chee was good (better than most bbq joints I?ve eaten), but still astep down from Mom?s. I know cheap Mac?a?chee is a ?Thing? at bbq joints but it was better than most. Sweet tea was decentstandard fare. Would be entirely happy to go here again and will look for them next time I?m in the area. Hopefully I?ll getto go during normal eating hours, as I might be inclined to hand out the fifth star if that proves the only reason the meat wasjust a bit less moist than hoped when I ordered. I had a valid coupon for a free sandwich and they wouldn?t accept it and were very rude about it as well. so I went ahead and... purchased a sandwich to go and when I got home they didn?t seal the sauce and it exploded all over the sandwich. Not sure if this location is franchised or not. The manager here seemed kind of rude and off putting. I'm unsure if he has... worked customer service or not but hospitality goes a long way. Customers appreciate being talked to and not talked at. Read more
