Reviews for The Great Outdoors Sub Shop in Dallas, TX
It gets no better than this place for subs. Staff is very friendly and if you become a regular they will remember you when they... haven't seen you in a while. Even if you've been away for ½-1 year. Read more
This place is not for salads. Not worth $8. They need to retire salads from menu. Its iceberg lettuce which has no nutritional... value, they use turkey deli meat, this is a home salad I could have made. No wonder its never packed out. Read more
Sandwiches are great. Unfortunately if you?re going through the drive thru, get ready to spend at least 20 minutes there. That?s... IF they actually acknowledge you and take your order. It?s been more than one occasion I?ve sat in the drive thru with noresponse and had to go inside to order. It?s really hit or miss if you get a friendly worker there as well. Read more
Great Outdoors never disappoints! My company has used them for catering for lunch multiple times and the boxed lunches are... perfect, come with all the goods and Sherry (the store manager I believe) is truly the best. Everyone working at this locationis so courteous and kind, and willing to make any modifications necessary to get your order just right! Bottom line - thesandwiches and service are both amazing and if you haven't been yet, it's time to do so! Read more
I have been coming to The Great Outdoors for many years and every location has amazing sandwiches. They cut the meat and cheese... in front of you, they have delicious shakes, and everyone that works there is very friendly. All locations get busy during lunchtime, but it is worth it if you're in the North Dallas/ Plano/ Richardson area. Read more

Out of all the locations this one is definitely my favorite. It?s by far the best shop, both employees and whole atmosphere... vibe. Parking can be rough at peak times but everything in the area is the same way so it?s not an issue. They have both a drivethrough and additional parking in the back so it?s always accessible. Food never disappoints. But I?m not happy that they quit playing KEOM-FM 88.7 (Mesquite Schools radio) on their dining room... music! It was so pleasant to hear my generation?s music while dining in! Now I?m listening to some kinda godawful ?something? onJackFM! Please change back to KEOM-FM 88.7! Read more
