This was my first time here, and my girlfriend did not seem very excited at first to come at first.. However, our waitress... Alexa was so patient and nice with us! She show us how to use the barcode for the menu, bring drinks and calamari, and let uscustomize the orders. The food was fresh and hot and delicious! My girlfriend change her mood so fast when she sees the Steakshe ordered and the hot flour tortilla. Overall, I give Alexa a 5/5 for service and politeness. And I give the food 5/5 forbeing hot, fresh and seasoned perfectly. Can't wait to come back ?????????? Read more

I visited this restaurant for the first time. I can tell you, I was very satisfied that the delicious Hondurian food was part... and view as a cuisine. The presentation of each plate I had the opportunity to view and taste yesterday had its own, let's say, style but without compromising the flavors of the typical Hondurian food; I can confirm this because I'm from Honduras. Theplace is clean, the service was very great, even with one waitress assisting other patrons, but she did a great job by servingthe other tables without an issue. I do recommend this place if you want to have the experience of a fancy hondurian foodwithout breaking your budget. Read more

Was I at the same restaurant as these others that rated this restaurant so highly or are they fake reviews? I went with a guest... to check out this restaurant based on the reviews. What I saw in the reviews was a polarization of good and bad, and based onmy experience it was bad. Service was excruciatingly slow and the owners daughter took our order then spent the entire timewrapping silverware in napkins. She never checked on us once. It took 45 min to get our food and there were only 2 othertables in the restaurant. We seriously thought about leaving. My guest got a shrimp dish that was served with sautéed onionsand peppers...... only, there were only 5 little slices of onion and pepper. The shrimp were cooked with the shell on, and bythe time you tried to peel the hot shrimp, your hands were a greasy mess and all of the flavor was gone. My guest had specialdietary restrictions and requested double plantains instead of the existing vegetables and was charged $5 more, bringing theprice of the paultry plate to over $20. I had the seafood soup. It had a small amount of seafood in it. It had a small crabwith claws so small that the largest was smaller in circumference than my pinky finger. The bowl was just full of bits of crabshells when I tried to extract it. Additionally, there were skins left on the plantains that were in the soup. It was notworth the $15+ for a soup full of shells and peels that took over 45 min. All 3 tables at the restaurant had to go up to thecounter and ask for the to-go containers. The food was not good. The service was not good. I question whether the reviewswere real. I will not go back. This is my honest opinion. Read more

This place is by far the most authentic Honduran food I?ve tried in Texas! Their Baleadas and topical breakfast are amazing and... really taste like home. Made me think Grandma was back there in the kitchen! The atmosphere is very nice with Christian music(depends who?s there that day lol) and the staff are all very charismatic and pleasant ALWAYS! My roommate and I walked in with the appetites of racehorses and Nelly was quick to greet us with a friendly face! She told us,... in depth of the history behind the dishes Hondumaya makes and serves and was quick to offer recommendations. We were apartmenthunting all day and wanted a quick bite to eat. Little did we know, we?d get so much more than food. Her genuine attitude andinterest in helping us made our experience all the better! She offered solutions when we told her apartment hunting hadn?t beengoing as well as we planned. I know it?s not all about the guest service, but Nelly went above and beyond. ?? As far as the foodwas concerned, I?ve never had authentic Honduran food. So to compare it to anything would be wrong for me to do. That beingsaid, the food was incredible. I ordered a Mayan Baleada and a banana soda. The portions were huge and I inhaled it faster thanI ever thought I could. The Honduran hot sauce added an incredible flavor to the dish. I would recommend this to anyone lookingfor authentic Honduran/Hispanic food. I will be back. Read more
