Good ambience and great service. We went here for our anniversary dinner, and were very pleased with everything we ordered for... the night! (See photos) They have a wide selection of wines, of which we loved the Tenuta Guado Al Taso. Additionally, it wasfairly easy to secure a reservation on a weekend! Read more

This review was written for Abacus. Not Jaspers. I assume Jaspers has taken over Anacus, but I don’t think it’s the same... menu. Came here with two other couples for the first time last night. Overall, we had a very good experience and an enjoyablemeal. For the most part, I’d give five stars to everything we ate. The duck special was my favorite of the night. The Picassoroll was fresh and delicious. I loved the cafe brûlée dessert. The fries were a pleasantly decadent surprise. I liked therisotto, but probably wouldn’t order it again. The Brussels sprouts were great. I ordered the Secret Garden cocktail. It wasdelicious perfection. I probably wouldn’t ever order another cocktail there so long as that was on the menu. I did find somethings about the service odd. It took awhile to get going. The host does not provide the menus. We had to wait for the serverwho greeted us first and brought drink menus later. Only it was one cocktail and one wine menu for a table of six. This wasn’tenough. We really needed one or two more of each. We were there about thirty minutes before we got out drinks. I wish we hadreceived drunk menus upon sitting down so we could have ordered faster. BUT once we did get our drinks, everything ran supersmoothly. I liked we weren’t rushed. Everything was perfectly timed. In some ways, it felt very European as our meal tookabout 2.5 hours. Our server was very nice and did a great job overall. It really was just the first thirty minutes I found odd.Luckily, we were in great company so it didn’t bother me more than a passing ????. The ambience of the restaurant was nice ifa little dated. The restaurant as a whole lacked the modern feel I’m used to. Nothing wrong with that necessarily, as the foodhas certainly kept up, but I think it could use a bit of updating in the decor and atmosphere department. Overall, it was agreat experience and I’d come back if I were feeling like a splurge. Which, on that topic, I will say I feel it should Read more

Our servers name was Candice, she was great!!!! The food, the atmosphere, and the drinks were excellent. I had the venison, and... my wife had the lamb. So tender! The Mac & Cheese is probably the best I’ve ever had. I would definitely recommend to anyone. The bread and butter they give out at the beginning of the meal are delicious as well. Read more

Came here for girlfriend's birthday dinner. The atmosphere was fine. Nothing special. Heard decent reviews of the place.... Honestly, I'm not one to complain about food. Girlfriend had Pan Seared Scottish Salmon and it was very delicious andflavorful. We ordered the cured bacon flight and dragon roll. Both delicious appetizers. I'll literally eat anything but I waspretty disappointed with the Hickory Grilled Beef Tenderloin. The waiter recommended it because it was apparently an excellentdish. The wild mushrooms had the only flavor on the dish. The beef tenderloins lacked taste and flavor. Seemed like the chef putall the salt on the mushrooms. I've eaten at 5 star restaurants for less and the money wouldn't have been an issue if the mainentree wasn't so disappointing. Read more

The food, wine, staff, and atmosphere were all amazing. They have the best wild game I've tried in Dallas! The fried quail was... great but the antelope was the best I've ever had. I'll be back very soon! Read more

High expectations let down by mediocre service. The food was excellent, but the service was subpar. Plating and proportions... were a little small. Food was delicious, but most of our plates were served more lukewarm than not. We had reservations for8:00pm. We were told it would be a minute, so we sat at the bar which was not busy at all. After 10 minutes of waiting, I wasfinally able to get a bartender’s attention, as no one even glanced our way. We ordered drinks, and continued to wait. After a45 minute wait from our arrival at 8, we were finally seated. The restaurant was bustling, but not overly busy. There wereseveral empty tables as well. We ordered wine and drinks, and after 10 minutes were informed that our wine selection wasunavailable. We selected a different bottle and were served promptly. 20 minutes into our dining experience, the waitressfinally took our orders for an appetizer. We expected her to return shortly for ordering our entrees. 30 minutes later, shefinally returned to our table, our glasses long had been empty, with the appetizers. She refilled our drinks, and promptly left.We ate our appetizers which were small, but delicious. At this point, we were almost an hour into our dinner, and 1.5 hours intoour experience, and we hadn’t even ordered our dinner. Approximately 15 minutes after our appetizers were finished, ourwaitress returned to take our dinner orders. At this point, several other parties who had been seated after us, had alreadyfinished their meals and were leaving. We ordered dinner, and then waited another thirty minutes for dinner to be served. Atthis point, there were only a few tables left that were still occupied. Dinner was finally served and most of the food waslukewarm to cool at best. At this point we were well over two hours into our experience and didn’t have time to wait forre-plating. We finished dinner, ordered dessert to go. The meal was a very pricey meal, and the food, had it been hot, wouldhave well Read more
