We have been coming here for years and it is truly a warm and wonderful experience. While French restaurants typically are known... for small portions, theirs are not. My all time favorites are the lamb, the sole, the pastry that has seafood, the Cassole(winter only), the bouillabaisse, the smoked salmon, French onion soup (let’s just say that everything is great). They have anextensive wine list and you can get gems at a moderate price. They often host wine dinners which was fabulous last night (pics),and they have high tea on Saturdays! Read more

Lavendou was a pleasant experience. I enjoyed the atmosphere the most. Somewhat like Old Vintage Italy. The dishes were very... savory. My friend had the Salmon and I had the Crepes Du Jour. It was very good and light. Perfect on an hot summer day orevening. I ended the experience with the creamy Creme Burlee. It was a tad expensive for lunch, however I don't regret theexperience. Really good risotto. Seafood was bit disappointing-> we has Seafood trio (Salmon, shrimp and i think Mahi) good flavors but all... three were very dry/way overcooked. Chocolate souffle was good. Their complementary bread and Olivia oil with sun-dried tomatoeswere amazing. One of the best breads in Dallas area -> very light and crispy. All in all, we would go back there to try morethings on their menu before I make up my mind BUT I will not recommend trying seafood there. Read more

Went here for a birthday and my first “high tea” experience. The table settings, decor, and environment is so dainty and... pleasant! We had tea (lavender to be specific), if course, which I enjoyed. We also had scones, zucchini bread, pastries, cucumber sandwiches, and chicken salad sandwiches (all pictured below). I wasn’t crazy about the food, but I think some of itmay just be acquired tastes and I’m not used to any of the dishes. It’s a great place for intimate gatherings withgirlfriends, or any of the women in your life. I’m glad I went. It was a change from the typical Dallas restaurants andbars. It was 9 of us total and we each paid $30 even. Read more

Great tasting food with amazing atmosphere. We have been to Paris a couple of times and sitting at the bar here feels like a... eating at a Bistro in France since the majority of the staff here speak French. The trout alamandi and lamb ribs were bothexcellent. Our bartender, bernard, was also very friendly! Read more

Place was pretty full on a Friday so reservations recommended. We got the mussels and escargot as appetizers, they were just... okay. Wasn’t a fan of the mussel broth which I usually love to soak up with bread. Entrees were excellent though. We got thepan seared soled with crab and ribeye. Read more

We loved it but… My wife and I visited for her birthday (although we didn’t celebrate at the restaurant). We enjoyed the... atmosphere, staff attentiveness and the food. It was overall a great visit. However, we had a big piece of hair under the onionsoup bowl (between the saucer and the bowl). Since it was under the bowl and we had already finished the soup, we didn’t bringit to the attention of the server. That being said, we thoroughly enjoyed every other aspect of our visit and will be back -hopefully to brush up more on my French language skills. Read more

I came here with my food group and we were all so pleased with this place. Our server Eric was just fantastic, he made great... recommendations, was very attentive, and quick to go out of his way( taking out pictures). We started with the Escargots à laBourguignonne and the Napoléon de Champignons Sauvages (mushrooms) and both were just delicious!! The escargot was my favoriteof the two though, it was FULL of flavor. Next time I will order two of them for the table. For my entree I had the CanardRôti au Cassi (duck) and once again, full of flavor. This place really knows how to season their food. I couldn’t have pickeda better plate. For desert we tried them all lol and my favorite was the Tarte aux Pommes (apple tart). I love this place. They knocked everything out of the park. I didn’t have high expectations given that it’s in a shopping center, but boy was Iwrong! Read more
