I was visiting a friend in Dallas who had hyped up Mike?s chicken as the best fried chicken he?d ever had. I can proudly say it... lived up to the hype. The chicken is fried fresh made to order (like it should be) so expect to wait a little bit for yourfood.\n\nThe chicken itself was extremely juicy and flavorful. The breading had plenty of seasoning, was crunchy, and did notfall right off the chicken like some other fast fried chicken places.\n\nThe creamed corn and green beans were also exceptional.The corn still had a nice bite to it and was not mushy while the green beans were tastefully seasoned. The green beans were alsoprobably some of the best I?d ever had. I would be happy to eat both of the sides on their own.\n\nThe only complaint I had wasthe biscuit was a bit dry. There was a nice glaze on top though, and if you were to eat the biscuit with some mashed potatoesthen it would probably taste fine.\n\nOverall I?d agree that Mike?s Chicken had some of the best fried chicken I?d ever eatenwith some exceptional sides as well. First time at this 2nd location and it\'s just as delicious as the other location. I got the spicy breast + wing and added an... extra wing. Meat was juicy and skin was crunchy and tasty. I have gone to the original location off Maple for years and was hesitant to try this location. Though, now having gone, I am... unsure how this location is not a perfect 5. The chicken was crispy, actual crunch in each bite, and the breading holds up whendipping in the house made sauces (buffalo is my favorite and its made with peanut butter as a thickener to best adhere to thefried chicken). If you like heat, try the spicy version which is what I got. Each chicken strip is roughly an 1-1.5\" thick ofwhite meat and 6\" long at least. Read more
Probably one of the best chicken I ever had . Ordered like a bunch of different combination to go for family dinner . We got the... drums and breast along with corns , biscuits , string beans , beans and fries . The chicken was amazing well cooked and crispy. Not too oily and every sides tasted good also. Its been open for about 2mos and I?m a bit disappointed. ??( I have been going go the original mikes chicken since... 2015 on maple ave and it still taste like the first time I tired it ???? ????. )??\nTheir customer service was good andattentive, place was clean but felt hot inside. Now the food, not the same flavor as original location. Sweet tea was bitter. Mygreenbeans were hard no flavor just lightly coated. The chicken was very deep fried no flavor to the chicken but oily. Thecoleslaw is made different, and it even had red bell peppers which was weird. And my sandwich didnt even have chipotle mayo soit was dry and flavorless. Fires extra crispy, hot and oily flavor. Now this location is a bit closer and less traffic thenmaple and plenty of parking. I will give it a 2nd try but if i have the time then i will make the longer drive to maple ave. Read more
This food has flavor! The fried chicken had super crisp and flavorful skin. You could see the seasoning! The tenders were... huge and some of the best I\'ve ever had. But the sides...damn! The mac and cheese has a unique and complex flavor, greenbeans were fresh and cooked to perfection, and the baked beans had a hint of hot. We will be back! Know that they make it toorder, so your food will be fresh, but this means a short wait. Totally worth it! Read more
