My wife and I had been wanting to try the wine and escargot experience at St. Martin's. The escargot was creamy and decadent!... Wine selections are all fantastic. I insanely love this place it is so beautiful inside. The food is always delectable. The champagne brie soup is my favorite... thing to get. I could literally just go in for the soup itself. I don't come to Dallas often but I heard of this place a few years ago when it showed up on US News Top 10 Most Romantic... Restaurants in America, really excited that Texas made the list! I bookmarked it then and finally had the opportunity to comeby. It so happened that the neighborhood was having a block party and the St. Patrick's parade was happening so all of thestreets leading to the restaurant were closed off. I called to let them know we'd be passed our 15 minute grace period for thereservation and they were very understanding. We showed up after parking quite a distance away, they kept our reservation andeven surprised us by escorting us to the much desired alcove table at the back, said it was for the difficulties we had inmaking it! Their wine menu is extensive and there are bottles priced at both ends of the spectrum so take a look! We went forthe Acacia Pinot noir, ordered the seafood crepe for starters, really delicious! Couldn't experience St. Martin's without theirsignature champagne Brie soup! On the food can't say much that hasn't been said already but if you're a dessert person pleasetry the Almond ball! My husband and I wanted to celebrate Valentine’s early and we came here. The food is amazing. The smoked salmon appetizer was... so delicious. I had the grilled rack of lamb and my husband had the duck. Loved the decor and live piano performance. Only thingthat was bit disappointing was that we only got our meats for leftovers they did not give us the sauce, mashed potatoes andvegetables. But we will be back!! Read more
This was the first time we have visited St. Martins. The service was flawless, people filled our water before it was half empty,... the waitress was very attentive without being overbearing, and our table was ready upon arrival. They also had live piano musicwhich created a lovely atmosphere. The special of seafood newburg was the most delicious thing I have tasted. Took my girlfriend here for a date night and it was our first time here. Wow this was a fantastic meal and my girlfriend said... this was the best meal she had ever had in her life, no joke! I ordered the Duck and she had the Beef Bolognese, it was allfantastic!!! We will definitely be back here. We also met a couple who had celebrated their anniversary here for 38 years. I went this place to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday and that was the best decision I have ever made! Waiter and staffs were... phenomenal. This was my first French restaurant and dishes ever, but my waiter was very kind explaining the menu. The restaurantitself is lovely and cozy. You can listen to the live piano after 1830 I guess, but for me, I would recommend to be on openingtime cuz it's quiet and not crowded. Entree (duck and bourguignon) were good enough, the brie soup was amazing(I would revisithere for this soup!!!!) and my creme brûlée and chocolate soufflé were perfect!
