My go to spot for countless occasions. Whether that be going in alone with my headphones in to work on the patio or heading in... clients to celebrate a new gig. No kidding: this is also my place of choice when I might need a hug on a bad day. Jimmy givesthe best hugs and is an extremely kind and authentic individual. I go to TyV for group hang outs for live music or a place tojust feel safe and at home. I have so many core memories here and that is because of the welcoming family environment he hascreated over the years. Jimmy remembers everyones drinks. He sits with anyone he can to have actual conversation. He greets usby name and gives cold Coca Colas on hot days to any vendor delivering products. Coffee runs for his staff on long days are athing. I've witnessed it all first hand when he thinks no one is looking. Don't even get me started bc I could go for days. IT'SAN EXPERIENCE. IT'S FAMILY. Read more

There's a lot of buzz about Taco y Vino, and it did not disappoint! I was in the area and decided to try the beef choriqueso,... brisket guiso, and tex-mex. Here's my thoughts: The beef choriqueso was my favorite. One of the best tacos I've ever had. Thechorizo was tender and flavorful. The cheese is grilled, leaving a wonderful caramelized cheese crust. It's topped with grilledonions that compliment the rest of the taco perfectly. Next, I wasn't the biggest fan of the brisket guiso. I usually lovecorn, but the pickled corn overpowered the rest of the taco. And last was the tex-mex. It's served on a crispy taco shell andwas a nice refresher, but I don't think I'd order it again. I also loved the salsa they served with the tacos. I could tastethe deeply developed flavors of the other ingredients aside from just the spice. Customer service was good. My only gripe isthat the indoor seating isn't very spacious, especially if you go during a crowded time. I would definitely go here again thenext time I visit the Bishop Arts area. Read more

Great customer service. I was excited about the avocado taco but the avocado wasn't crispy but the other toppings on that taco... were AMAZING!!! The Ahi Tuna taco STELLAR!!! The BEST!!! The barbacoa was ok because I couldn't stop eating the Ahi tuna. TheWatermelon rosé frozen drink was good!!! I didn't get a printed receipt so drink prices were a mystery and I don't think theserver gave me the 1/2 off my meal due to the special they have on Mondays. Read more

Wow! There are so many positive things to say about this place the employees, environment, the other customers. We showed up on... a Tuesday for loteria and they are packed so I suggest getting there early. People from game 7pm can sit for 8:30 round so it?sfirst come serve. Fair. All employees were polite, playful and just amazing in making us feel welcomed. The vibes were positiveall around, everyone laughing. Food was awesome! Recommend the beef choriqueso tacos! Definitely will be coming back. Read more

I love it here! The decorations, our honest server and the food, everything was amazing. We tried a few things and my favorite... appetizer was the avocado toastadas $7.95, definitely a must try!Least favorite were those "tamale" bites, the salsa verde isamazing and the flavor is okay but the texture was like an over cooked muffin on the exterior but visibly undercooked on theinterior. The tacos are delicious and filling, I even got a side of caramelized onions (since I love them) to top off my tacosand it was a perfect combination. I did not try any of the wine this time but I will be back to try it. My only minor issuesare that inside there was only a small two top table, and since we were a group of 4 and it was cold outside, our only optionwas to sit on a high top table and I personally do not like them, so if you do not like to sit up high or can not due to injuryor handicap, come on a nicer day to sit outside or in a smaller group until there are some low tables. Also, there were no hooksunder the tables for purses/bags, luckily we were by the wine wall so I used an empty rod on the wall. All super minor and donot factor into the great experience but just some good to know things. Read more
