First the good: the food is on point! The tacos al pastor (tacos de trompo) are the best I\'ve had in DFW so far. We also... ordered Esquite and Ceviche appetizers. The esquite was well prepared and creamy. The ceviche was fresh and served with tostadachips, the only thing to improve on this dish is that the shrimp should be cut to small pieces for a more authentic preparation(it also fits better on the chips). The cocktail offerings are also quite good. So... why not 4 or 5 stars? The service is a bigissue. I read other reviewers\' complaints that the service was bad and I hoped these were isolated instances. But,unfortunately, the bad service reviews are perceptive. In our case, the service was very S...L...O...W... We visited on aSaturday afternoon at 5PM, it was not busy; I counted about 12-13 guests total in the dining room. Our server was nice and therewere plenty of other servers around, but they seemed more concerned with hanging out/ socializing among themselves than theywere about waiting on customers. Unfortunately, the bar tender is included in this, so getting drinks out was also frustratinglyslow. One of the servers decided to put his personal music playlist in the dining room overhead speakers and, lets just say iswas not a fit for the setting. For a restaurant claiming to deliver an \"elevated and authentic Mexican culinary experience\",they have a lot of work to do on the service front. Found out about this place in Texas monthly, and since we were at the farmers market we decided to try it out. Glad we did. Wife... had trompo, carnitas and beef fajita tacos. All very good flavors. I had milensa. I\'d definitely get it again. Comes precutstrips, with no sauce. The esquite was great as well! Hope to get back soon to try some cocktails. Read more

Loved it. The service was great and so was the food and drinks. We went pretty early on a Friday evening so there was no wait... and it was easy to find parking. We ordered the trompo taco tower and the tacos were delicious. Read more

This place is very friendly and accommodating to people with dogs. They have a great drink selection and they offer a good... variety for vegetarians. The esquite is very good. I was surprised that the corn was not hot or warm. But the taste wasfabulous. It was a little bit watery I think they did not drain it all the way. They used sweet corn not white corn but it’sstill delicious. I added some hot sauce that it comes with on the side and it makes it so much better in my opinion. You canmake it as spicy as you want. The spicy passion fruit cocktail is not that spicy but the taste is on point. The alcohol to tasteratio is good. I ordered the regular torra for my meal with paneer. You are able to choose your meat.
