Best Tex-Mex in Dallas! Family owned and run. Single location NOT a franchise. Very tasty mild salsa for the North Dallas crowd.... Salsa served in individual bowls so you don't have to fret over others double dipping....very thoughtful. The chips were sofresh and crisp. The crispy beef taco is one of the best I've ever had. The chicken verde enchiladas were top notch. Oh, and notpictured was the sopapilla OMG!. Ask for the honey to smother the sopapilla. It reminded me of a homemade donut that I use tocook on Saturday mornings with my kids. Service was a 9 out of 10. We had multiple people come to our table to take care of ourneeds. Price: very reasonable. We didn't have any alcohol so the price was very affordable. The meal, drink, tax and 20% tipamounted to about $25 each. Read more

Very glad that we randomly found this place while we were looking for Mexican food on the way to a concert at the AA Center. ... Great food, and my wife said the strawberry margarita she ordered was one of the best she had ever had. A the menu was a mix ofTex-Mex and more traditional Mexican food. We did not try any of the Tex-Mex, so I can't speak to it, but the variety oftraditional items we ordered were outstanding! We plan to stop by again the next time we are in the area! Read more

Food was great, service was great. Manager, not so much. We reserved space for 15 people, got 12 spots, 17 showed up. The rest... of our party had to sit at other table. Since this was a support group, not good. They would not let us push another tabletogether. This was our third time here, but will probably be the last. They do have a back room, but you have to spend $450 toget it. Better places in town. Read more

My wife and I went in today (July 28) based on some neighbors recommendations about the quality of their food. Unfortunately, we... were seated and never got served. I had to approach the hostess to ask for some one to serve us, she pointed to a gang ofservers we had already counted (6) standing around as if we should have waved one of them over. Finally a server came over toour table and asked, "Do you know what you want to to order?" He didn't greet us or get us water first or even ask if we wantedto get drinks first. When my wife kindly explained our experience he just seemed to not care. As we were leaving no one askedwhy and if they could do anything to make our experience more enjoyable. They just seemed to take it in stride. We left and tookour hard earned money to another establishment that served us promptly and graciously. I don't think we will be giving this oldDallas staple a try anytime soon. Read more

Very nice family owned restaurant. It?s been around since 1947. Classic tex-mez food. I was pleasantly surprised to see the... famed San Antonio puffy tacos on the menu and they did not disappoint. Read more
