I was really disappointed in Cracker Barrel today. I have enjoyed the country fried steak for years, even bringing my family... here for my birthday. That is coming to an end. The corporate office felt the need to change suppliers. The food was terrible.The country fried steak could be used for a hockey puck. The hash brown casserole had no taste. We sat down after a 30 minute wait, then about 10 mins before our server came. But it was no biggie. Food was delicious!
The food was great as always but the Hostess needs more training. We were a party of two but wasn't even acknowledged. Not even... a "Hello". She seemed more interested in a party of seven. There was many tables emptied but not bussed. It must be because theyare understaffed and overworked. The Hostess never did say hello and we were brought to our table by someone else. Where do I begin. Our server was very stressed. She made sure we knew that. We order our food. My brother ordered a meal that... consisted of 3 over easy eggs (he received scrambled), a MR steak (it was rare and he couldn?t eat it), his biscuits and gravyplus a pancake was forgotten. Waited quite awhile to get those. I ordered a hash brown casserole( which by the time I got it itwas cold to the point the cheese was hard. I also ordered biscuits and gravy and it was cold so I waited for hot gravy (came outwith no sausage in it and they both only tasted like flour). Pretty gross. All in all the meal was so disappointing. Wedefinitely will not eat here again and will not have anything positive to say about this restaurant. So very disappointed. Read more
Service was great and friendly. Food was also wonderful and brought out super fast. Facility was clean ! We had sunrise sampler... breakfast, 2 salads, and dumplins. Went on a 5 day, 8 state road trip adventure and decided it was time to finally try cracker barrel. I can honestly say I have no... clue why I waited so long as I was not let down. The staff is very friendly and polite making small talk and laughing along withus. The food was delicious. Wait for our meal was a tad longer than we expected but it gave us time to relax from the road so wedidn't mind. I had chicken tenders and the dill ranch sauce to dip and it was awesome. The little shop area is cute and offerslots of old fashion candy and southern style trinkets. Overall great experience. Read more
The fish and grits shown here very good. Although my grits could have taken a lot more salt I can't really complain because I... had my own salt to add to it as well as butter. The fish on the wrong with season perfectly well as well as cook the way I likeit with skin good and crunchy. Yes I would definitely eat here again. I loved, loved loved it. I love eating at Cracker Barrel in general wherever I go. Good service. I had a burger and fries. They... were good. My girlfriend she had the stuffed strawberry cheesecake pancakes. She let me try it and wow were they ever good. She's had those pancakes at Cracker Barrel 2 or 3 times since then. I'm getting the Stupid Strawberry Cheesecake Pancakes nexttrip to Cracker Barrel. Yum!! Read more
