Good place for authentic Chinese food however worth the price? No. Ink fried rice was terrible, just stick with the basil fried... rice. The boiled chicken was good as well as peking duck, but everything you're looking for in a dim sum sort of Chinese placeis not there. They don't have alot of veggie stir fry options and their pan fried chow noodles was okay, not the greatest. Tofudish was bad Read more

We ate here just for the dimsum but honestly every single one of what we ordered was very good. We usually started with the... sumai and hagao as litmus check, which got our stamp of approval right away. Next the spare ribs, casiubao, xiaolongbao, andshanghai dumplings were all super good. Fried taro dumpling was awesome, carrot/daikon cake was good as expected, lomaigai wasperfection, even the chicken congee was thick and creamy. As desserts, sesame balls were satisfying and durian puff was creamyand not overpowering. Read more

Lousy quality food and way overpriced for dim sum. So har gao is $8.50 let that sink in…That’s absurd. We got 10 dishes and... paid $70 in total for it. That’s really expensive and the food was not even hot for takeout. We got har gao, shui mai, maligo(because no maligurn), plain rice roll, shrimp rice roll, egg yolk lava bun, and custard pineapple buns, beef balls, and friedtofu. The rice rolls were a bit cold and this hard even though we drove one block up home to eat it. I did like how the shrimpwas very large in the shrimp rice roll. The egg yolk lava bun was cold and the supposed runny lava was chunky and dry. The breadwas tough. It’s not worth the expense of buying dim sum here if everything you get is cold. Read more

Staple dim sum location in Daly City. It’s worth the drive out! From the shrimp rice rolls, siu mai, congee, and lotus wrap... sticky rice—everything was spot on in taste. Service is fine and we made a reservation online and came right at opening at11am. Gets busy fast so come early! Read more

Private room on a Saturday for dinner is really nice. Service was great. The pig is special order. My favorite was the sea bass.... We got 2 kinds of crab and both were really good. It’s cracked for you so you don’t need a cracker. My kids love the soupdumplings so even though it’s not a dinner time food we ordered it. Read more

Koi Palace has been a Bay Area staple for my family and many others who are celebrating something big like graduation, a... wedding, a promotion, or a holiday. Koi Palace is known to be much pricier than the usual spots, but the decor and attention toservice, as well as the quality of the food is up there in comparison . Essentially, you aren’t getting pink opaque soap or agreasy slippery floor. Now, I know many will say it’s overhyped or overpriced… and those sentiments I get as well. It’sjust one of those places that’s nicer to go to, but you aren’t going every month unless you’re rolling $$ like that. Manyreviews I’ve seen giving it one star complain about the automatic 18% tip, some complain about the service. And many complainabout door dash / take out. Which are their valid experiences, but some look like entitlement (disguised as bad customerservice?) Anyways. Like any well known spots, it’s going to become more scrutinized… as for my family, we were celebratinga wedding with two tables. And service and food were good on this day. That’s our experience. Parking usually would be pretty tight, but this night, not a lot of people, so we were able to park directly in front. We came... here pretty early, 530pm dinner reservation. Got there, they checked temperature, no wait and sat us right down. Staff wasfriendly as usual and worked with us with recommendations and orders. It was my mother in-law's birthday so we got the kingcrab. It was 9.5lb at $65 a lb. It wasn't really alive, but I got it anyways due to occasion. We also got baby pig sampler,Peking duck, bake sea bass, walnut shrimps, etc. King crab three way was just okay. Plenty of meat, but wasn't the tastiest. For thr price, I do expect better. The bake sea bass was chewy, the mushrooms veggies tasted like it came from a can. The duckand roasted pigs were okay and the walnut shrimps were good. Beef corn soup was decent. They gave us some birthday buns, whichwas nice, but general dessert selection was very limited and not that great. We usually go to the Milpitas location since it'seasier to get to and parking. But we came to the SF location thinking the original would be better. This most likely will beour last trip here for a very long time. It's unfortunate that we didn't leave with a great memory... Came here for dim sum on Thursday right after the restaurant opened. Foods were great quality & fresh. Customer service:... excellent & prompt. Parking: free parking lot. Many available but may fill quick around lunch time. Crowded: super crowded forlunch even on weekdays imagine if holiday & weekend. Should arrive right after the restaurant opens or around 1:00 pm for latelunch. If you come 11:30 or 12:00, prepare to wait for 30 - 45 minutes as each table takes at least an hour to 1.5 hours fordine in giving the dim sum comes out 10 - 15 minutes apart depending on which dim sum you order & how busy the restaurant is.Steamed version come out quicker than deep dried dim sum. Big items such as porridges/fried rice/noodles are excellent & expectto arrive 20 - 30 minutes from the time of order. Price: bit pricey compared to other dim sum places. But it worth it with thecustomer service, foods, & convenience for parking. Tip: please read the bill carefully as 18% tip will be automatically addedto your bill. Not sure the cut off number of people for table. I dined in with my mom & 1.5 years old toddler, so I counted 2for adult. And 18% tip already charged. They will give you the receipt with "extra tip" line which you can pay more. But tipwill be automatically added. Read more
