Check your "take out" order at the "delivery/pick up" table that they have if you don't want to keep waiting. Because they are... not going to call your name or hand it to you when it's ready. I brought my elderly Mom here for lunch. To our surprise, they no longer serve adobo. They were out of other items such as diet... Pepsi and the caramel bar. That happens. We ordered pancit bihon, minus pork and shrimp, adding chicken in their place. I wasstartled to see chicken cartilage and a bone; I'm just glad my Mom didn't end up with it. I spent several minutes trying to pickthrough the dish trying to remove all the choking hazards. I pointed it out to our server who said she told the manager. Shereturned saying, "I told 'him'. Sorry, but you did order chicken." I guess that means they don't care that you get bones. I paidthe bill and headed for the door, only to be redirected to use the side door because they didn't want to unlock the front doorfor a patron with limited mobility. I haven't been here in quite some time, and probably won't return for another long while.I'll pay $35 for lunch at a place that cares more about their customers. Read more

Let me start off by saying the server Evangeline is very unprofessional and should not be working there any longer. I ordered a... lot of food there and went by the name JC as it said on the receipt. Once my food was ready she kept calling the name JR andrefused to believe the order was mine until another staff member had to confirm that it was my order. We waited for 45 minutesbecause Evangeline doesn?t know how to read names correctly! Like the other reviews, she looked annoyed and didn?t give anypositive vibes at all. As for the picture I included, it is supposedly their Buko Pandan which is $7 each (look how little it isfor $7). I?m Filipino and this is not buko pandan! We had a celebration for my mother-in-law's birthday by indoor dining, which is our first time during this COVID-19 pandemic.... The dining area is small for walk-ins only; no reservations. With the menu on our mobile phones, we ordered pancit, Kare Kare,Max's fried chicken and fish sisig. They were all delicious except for the fish sisig, which had an unfamiliar white sauce. Read more

Great Filipino food made to order - the two dishes we got were delicious and not greasy. The kare kare (left) with ox tail and... veggies was one of the best I?ve had because it smelled peanuty, but did not taste like peanut butter. It comes with shrimppaste in a 3 oz cup. The Pinakbet (right) was pungent from the shrimp paste and veggies were skillfully cooked so that theymaintained their shape crunch. I really enjoyed the squash and okra in this dish. Order was left at front door, I was very specific on my request to use the Milkfish belly in the soup and they used Shrimps... instead. Everything looked inedible as the soup spilled out into the bottom of the plastic bag and pancit canton is in the samecondition. I have no clue which one is to blame, Max or Doordash? However Max at Gellert customer service is below average,besides having a static connection it was a very unpleasant experience talking with the person who answered after about 10 timescalling, She was confrontational, rude, and she also laughed with sarcasm. Placing the order from this Max location is yourworst nightmare, it is a big mistake, the South City location is a much better choice when it comes to customer serviceexperience. The spillage was a total turn off because it looks contaminated and exposed with pathogens and is prone tocompromise our health considering the ongoing Covid-19 crisis. Read more
