I've heard about this place for years but I was pretty disappointed. Went on a Sunday morning around 10:30. The lady at the... register was not a happy person. She never smiled, she never said thank you, she wasn't trying to interact whatsoever. We eventried joking with her and she just rolled her eyes. Clearly she did not wanna be there. All of the meat was pre cooked andsitting in the case so when we ordered, ours was dry and over cooked. They were out of the bread I asked for. Paid $14 For adry crunchy egg sandwich and an overcooked sausage link & a drink. Totally not worth it. I might come back and try chickenlater but I doubt it. Read more

For real blue collar place to eat, this one hits the mark. My wife and I stopped in here for breakfast and we enjoyed a... delicious meal eggs sunny side up hash browns she got the bacon crispy as ordered and I got the scrapple crispy is ordered andthe piece was huge. Service was good. This building has some outside seating and some covered outside seating but no true indoorseating. It's not at all fancy - so if you want fancy you don't want this. If you want a good value for your money at leastbreakfast wise this one's a good choice. We did not get a chance to check out their chicken or anything else other thanbreakfast so I can't speak for that part of the menu. That's the part I can speak for it was very good. Definitely two thumbsup. Read more

We come here every so often, usually when coming back from Deep Creek or Western Maryland excursions. Big fried chicken fans... we've found the food good. Every once in a while it's off their game but usually spot on. Never had anything else but friedchicken so can't speak to the rest of the menu. Sides like coleslaw and macaroni salad are decent but probably come from one ofthose bulk cartons. Chicken is usually juicy with crispy skin. The attached picture has a red tint because we were under thered awning. Speaking of which, there are a few picnic tables around the outside. Two or three close up and several under coverfew steps away. Try not to sit too close to the trash area because on a hot day it gets ripe. Many folks eat in their car orjust get pure take away. Tolerable food but nothing special. Bland fried chicken, very slow service. You can get much higher qualify with lower prices... at the Giant or Costco for their baked chickens and sides. Read more

If you're from Damascus then you've either had or know of Red Rooster. I've been eating here since I was a kid and it's always... good. I personally love a dry crusty chicken. It's always this beautiful dark amber color and the onion rings are the bestaround. They've gotten a little expensive but so are all chicken joints lately. Breakfast here can't be beat. The big sausagelink with egg or country ham sandwich is a favorite. They've fixed it up and have more seating now. I need to try it again justthinking about it. Read more

Very poor quality fried chicken. I’ve included a picture of a chicken breast. Not crunchy, very greasy, but I’d give it two... stars because the meat was tender and juicy. I also ordered coleslaw, Mac and cheese, and potato salad. Not impressed with anyof them. It’s too bad a local joint can’t produce good fried chicken. I really hate to say it but if you’re in DamascusKFC is a better choice. Read more

The chicken was just ok but the onion rings were really tasty. Best onion rings I've had in a while and the homemade coleslaw... was delicious. Read more
