Michael Mina’s restaurant located in the Waldorf Astoria. Came here in a group of 14 for a post-proposal celebration and we... had a reservation at 8pm, but we didn’t get seated until half an hour past the time on a Saturday evening. Valet parking only($10 with validation). Indoor and outdoor dining available. Credit cards accepted. Restrooms located outside of the restaurantin the hotel by the ballrooms. The service was nice when they were present, but there were long stretches of waiting aftergetting seated, while waiting to order, and while waiting for the check. Food-wise, the amusebouche was a tuna bite on top of arice cracker (the middle was a bit soggy). We opted to do family style so we could try more things. The tomahawk is good for 2-3people to share and comes with 2 sides. It comes with table service, so if you enjoy pomp, it’s a good dish to order. Thebrussel sprouts and the truffle Mac and cheese were the best options. The mushrooms would be the next best thing. The asparaguswas too buttery and the mushroom risotto was a bit bland. I liked the complimentary bread provided, while the complimentaryfries were just okay (some had too much rosemary on it). I liked that they did give the option of 3 dips. We also got the NYstriploin which had a slight funk, and was preferable to the tomahawk. In my opinion, the wagyu was the best tasting cut. Theconsensus was that the tomahawk could have used more seasoning/salt. Dessert-wise, they gave us complimentary chocolates whichhad ganache filling. We got a chocolate bar which had honey ice cream on the side. I got a pot of green tea (they have jasmineand sencha for those tea aficionados wondering). They also gave us caramel popcorn as a parting gift. It was definitely anexperience to splurge but I have mixed feelings about the food and service. Read more

I had a meal today I ordered medium well-done meat I think the inside was moderate, but the outside was too tanned Is this steak... in normal condition? I just ate it, removed the burnt part, and finished the meal. Is it right that the meat was cookedproperly? I'm not an expert in cooking. I'm curious Read more

Patio seating offers a little quieter experience along with a beautiful view of the Pacific ocean. This is a steak house and... they do steak well. A few notes, the experience starts off with their duck fat French fries, which are crispy and good, servedwith several seasonings and sauces. Then they offer a brioche roll brushed with truffle butter AND filled with the same butter. I'm posting this so people out there are aware how much carbs are served ahead of the actual meal, so don't fill yourself up,plan accordingly. Their weakest course was dessert. We got their special dessert which was bread pudding with seasonalstrawberries and fresh whipped cream. It was just okay, not too sweet and maybe the strawberries weren't fully ripe yet, if youwant something sweeter order one of the other desserts on the menu. Wish they had more classic steakhouse dessert items on themenu to end the meal on a sweet note. All the staff were very nice and friendly. It was a nice place to visit at least once. Read more

First time at this location. Inside the Waldorf Astoria. Nice restaurant, staff was on point here. Great bar and wine selection.... I had the Delmonico ribeye, my wife had the Snake River ribeye. Both were cooked very well, my Delmonico had a nice char to itand was nice and pink as requested. We had the brussel sprouts and baked potatoes for sides. All the food was great, and theservice was great, only downside is it was quite loud in the restaurant. Read more

We made reservations for dinner when we made hotel reservations. We were called the night before reservations and told the Chef... had a special menu for Valentines Day and not able to order off regular menu. The cost was $180.00 per person. We weren’tcrazy about the menu and because was night before Valentines Day we kept reservation as other locations were already full.Valentines Day was our 35th wedding anniversary and was a special occasion! We asked for no oysters and they gave us extrascallops. The Caviar was an extra $65.00 up charge and if not we may have tried it.,We were first brought Flight of Fries thatwere not on menu like an appetizer. They were saltier than we like. Next we were brought bread with garlic butter inside. Thetomato bisque soup (not pictured) was brought by 2 servers that each poured soup into our bowls that had 2 small pieces ofbread. Next we were brought salads with avocado mouse. It was a very small salad. Our striplion entrees were brought next andsteak was good size and delicious, though mashed potatoes & vegetables were minimal. There was no actual cheesecake withstrawberry Nutella desert. There was a bed of graham cracker crumbles under strawberries. Lastly we were brought 2 pieces ofchocolate with sea salt and 2 to-go bags of Carmel popcorn when the server brought the check. Our dining experience was about 3hours. We noticed some others that came after us received some of their courses at the same time and glad we didn’t. The keptout water glasses full most of the time, until closure to end. The service was very attentive. They de-crumbed our table andbrought fresh plates and silverware between each course. We expected the regular menu may have cost about $100.00 each and werenot expecting this higher cost and menu the night before our anniversary reservation. Overall was not what we expected, as wouldhave ordered different items we saw on the regular menu. Read more

Duck fried fries with accompanied dips. rosemary, tahin, and basil. Amazing truffle bread that was buttered. Just so wonderful.... I would come just for the bread. Sitting Louis Napa Cabrinet 2018. Amazing red wine. Cherry Vodka Sour, bees knees, andreposado tequila on the rocks with oranges are both phenomenal drinks. Cant go wrong with old school cocktails. The shellfishplatter (boiled with miso infused butter and lemongrass tea) was just hands down amazing. You get 4 shrimp, 4 oysters, a crableg split in two and 1 lb main lobster. Ribeye Cap special was pretty good. had great flavor but not as melt in your mouth asother places. Shiitake mushrooms on the side were just amazing though. Tuna tartare was awesome. Definetly recommend. Verystrong sesame oil that was of the highest quality. The tuna wasn't drown in it. Great balance with pine nuts and pears.Superb. Ordered brussels sprouts side to share with the table!! SO good. There were pomegranate seeds and they were fried butalmost caramelized with honey. Slightly sweet and perfectly cooked. The beignets with creme brûlée was recommended but we gotthe chocolate peanut butter bar with ice cream. It was probably a 4/5. Overall we had a great dinner. We sat outside andwatched the sun set. Lovely evening and great waitresses and servers. Wine specialist got us the best drinks. Read more
