Great food at a reasonable price. I don't know where all these negative reviews came from. We started with complimentary hush... puppies and a appetizer of a blooming onion. Both were fantastic. Are entrees were perfectly timed . Amber did an excellent jobto see that we had everything to ensure our meal was a good experience. We will definitely return whenever we're in the area. Read more
We're local, we eat here several times a year. Food and service is alway excellent. With a full house on Friday at dinner time... they seated us in 6 minutes. Drinks were on the table immediately and kept filled. Oysters were good, prepared well. My stuffedflounder was perfect, maybe a little too much bread crumb in the stuffing but I'm picky. My wife had a broiled combo offlounder, scallops and shrimp. Hers was very well prepared also. We both had a little bit left over, enough for dinner for methe next night. Overall the 5 stars are well-deserved, we will definitely be back soon. Read more
We have been coming here for years, always a family favorite. BUT the food quality was just not anywhere near what we had been... accustomed to. The sea scallops were actually bay scallops and cooked to little hard white balls! And the prices were higher.Higher prices for the same quality would have been fine, but it wasn't. Just not the same quality we had always bragged on. +The hush puppies were still very good. This was a combo celebration for birthdays and it was sad. Please bring back the greatfood we were use to. Very Nice Outstanding Server. All you can eat hush puppies that were amazing we had an appetizer also. I ate salad so I filled... up on everything I took my entree of the shrimp trio Home. Outstanding coconut shrimp with with key lime dip. Read more
My seafood platter was good. Wish it had regular shrimp instead of popcorn shrimp. Too much breading for my taste! My husband... ordered Cod & it came looking very much like fish sticks! It didn't even taste good. He expected a nice Cod fillet!!! Verydisappointed.???? Read more
Got the fried platter, the shrimp and deviled crab were great but the flounder was horrible. I could taste the skin (fish... scale), the flesh was chewy and not melt in your mouth like I'm used to. The okra and hush puppies were awesome. Would orderagain anything but fish. Found a place in SC cheaper and tastier. Read more
ALL YOU CAN EAT HUSH PUPPIES!! My FIL brought us here for dinner while we were visiting from MI. We had a 35 minute wait but he... ensured us it would be worth every minute and boy was he right. He also warned us about the portion sizes so my husband and Idecided to split The Galley's Ultimate Fried Seafood Platter & Boom Boom Shrimp. Everything was wonderful, but the Boom BoomShrimp was AMAZING!! I always order this back home and let me tell you, I get 8 pieces for $10... TEN DOLLARS! We had to take apicture of our plate just to show them back home the proper way to serve this dish. Our waitress was friendly and constantlychecked in on us. This was our first visit and we enjoyed it very much. I really liked the popcorn shrimp dinner; the portion was quite large so I... took some home! The hush puppies alone are worth the visit! The cocktail sauce wasn't that great, very mild, almost ketchup.Other than the tame cocktail sauce and the fact no alcohol is served, it is a very pleasant restaurant. Also, the service wasfantastic!
