Cooper’s Hawk is one of my favorite restaurants. I love not only the calm and evening ambiance the restaurant gives but their... great selection of wines and cocktails. When we walked it, we were greeted by the friendly hosts at the front. Then we met ourwonderful waitress Kelly, who was amazing. She accommodated our large party very well, and she was a joy to have, which made ourevening more enjoyable. I ordered my favorite which is the passion fruit sangria; it has the right amount of sweetness from thepassion fruit and wine. Then I tried their Caribbean mojito for the first time, which was also great. The perfect blend of sweettropical flavors mixed with your traditional mojito. For my entree I had the trio of medallions which gives you the options of 3toppings (horseradish, Parmesan, etc) on each medallion with the Asian slaw (my absolute fav), and mashed potatoes. First time at this location and the staff was really nice and attentive. The guy (I forgot his name) who did our wine tasting... was very knowledgeable and engaging. Ed our waiter was great and attentive. I had the sprouts and the jambalaya. The jambalayaneeds a little work- comparing it to the ones I've had in NOLA, but overall no complaints. Went the Cooper's Hawk to catch up with my friends and their new baby, and do some celebrating of my own. We made a reservation... for a later lunch and met up. There was a little confusion to get our reservation sorted out but we were seated quickly and ourwaitress was super friendly. My friends are members of the wine club, so they knew what choices to make. They went with thePinot Grigio, which was perfect for the hot, summer weather outside. There was also a vineyard reserve that was available, whichthey offer only at select times. This was a blend of some of their best reds, and it tasted marvelous. I had ordered a (212lManhattan, but I believe they didn't have vermouth, so I went with the old fashioned instead. Expertly crafted and delicious. Myfriend always orders the braided short ribs, so he stayed the course and was not disappointed. His wife ordered the short ribrisotto, which she never had before, and loved it as well. I went with the pork loin, and substituted the chipotle mash forAsian slaw. Everything was perfect!!!! It took a little while for the food to come out, but that gave us more time to chat. Andour server kept coming by to keep us updated on the order and checking in on us. This was the second or third time I've beenthere and there's still so much on the menu I want to try, because everything we've ever ordered has been spectacular. They alsooffer wine tastings and have excellently paired wines for their food and dessert offerings. I had my mother’s retirement dinner here on June 21,2022. Maria, the event coordinator, was incredible from beginning to end.... She was professional and kind. She wanted to make sure my event went exactly as I planned. I felt like I was planning an eventwith my best friend when I spoke to her. On the night of the event I met Sam, the manager, and Austin, one of our servers, theywere absolutely incredible. I will definitely be back, and I am so happy that my event went so well. Came by for a work lunch. Very nice location in Dania Pointe. The entrance has a large wine store. The food was excellent.... Cannot recommend the BBQ lacquered pork chop enough. It was so tender and delicious I’m going to have a hard time trying otherthings on the menu. Paired it with the BIN which was a Red blend that was very nice.
