I've been here a handful of times, the first time was by chance during Covid. We met the owner and fell in love with this cozy... cafe. We've since brought numerous friends and family here. Breakfast and lunch or just a coffee are always great here. Basquewill always be a favorite in downtown Danville, really can't go wrong with any food choice! Read more

Very pleasant spot for breakfast or brunch. Delicious latte. Croissant was not as flaky as it might be. Service was relaxed and... cheerful, perhaps a bit slow. Read more

I had a muffin and a really good mocha. I wanted to order more but the kitchen was backed up and I didn't want to wait 30 +... minutes. Staff was really busy and still very kind and polite. I'll go back at a time when not as busy. Nice patio in the backoff the busy street. Thank you for being there. Read more

Staff was slow took 5min after saying hi to take my order and forgot customer service techniques. Meaning no idea where to go... with to go orders or dine in. Bought 3 muffin, a scone, orange juice and a breakfast burger. The Blueberry muffin I had wasstale and the guy at the counter didn't ask what size my juice was wasting moreover of my morning. Burger was good only reasonfor 2? Read more

First time here today 4/10/2022 at 1pm. Outdoor seating was nice. Ordered eggs benedict. Waited almost 1 hr for the food... eventhough it was not busy. Food was plain. Not worth the cost of $13 plus tips. Read more

Stopped for a coffee and scone with family. While I liked my Americano, my wife did not like her mixed coffee drink and left it... untouched - but a couple of days before she was there and the drink was amazing, that is why we came in. The Tiramisu was greatand everyone loved it. Read more

Lovely location both inside and out! I wish I lived closer to Danville because there’s so many aesthetic places like this one!... The gentleman who supported me with my decisions was personable and expedient. I really liked my lemon poppyseed muffin and Ilove how rustic my blueberry scone was. Seeing the other things on the menu, I’m 100% certain I could come back many times andalways get some thing of surprise and delight! Read more

Basque Boulangerie Cafe is in the old, very popular Sideboard Restaurant & Coffee Bar spot at the historic Danville Hotel... building. Basque Boulangerie bakes all their desserts, pastries, breads, cookies, macaroons, etc. in their Sonoma location andtrucks it down daily. Pricey for counter service. Service was off. Ordered two lattes, a slice of Tres Leche, and a Chocolatedipped Florentine cookie for $21 and had to wait for the lattes to be made (no coffee art) and take our desserts and coffeesourselves (had to get our own flatware and napkins) outside to our table. Every thing was "ok," but nothing memorable or couldrecommend to order. Was told after my "nonfat" latte was made and given to me after I asked "nonfat" latte? "No, we ran out ofnonfat. So I used low fat." She walked a way from me. Normally, a coffee place will tell you up front if there was going to bean issue so you can decide whether you want the coffee or not. One of the owners tried to make things right. But charged us fora slice of cherry crumble custard pie (gave us a 20% off employee discount) when he asked if there was something he could do tomake it better. Pie was a good size slice for $6 (before "comp" discount). Buttery. Layer of custard on the bottom of butterycrust. Large size cherries. A little on the sweeter side. If you use a wheelchair, there is a ramp to get you to the outdoordining area, but you will need help to roll you up the one step to enter the front door. No diaper changing table in unisexrestroom.
