I found a great place for Italian dining in this side of the Bay. The ambience inside is beautiful and cozy. The ambience... outside is exceptional on a sunny day. We ordered fried zucchini as part of their special appetizer, octopus salad, Mainelobster pasta and vanilla ice cream with chocolate fudge for dessert. No orders of us is a fail. Came here at prime dinner time without a reservation. Inside was pretty busy so we were given the option to sit outside under... the open air tents and heater. It was pretty windy out but with warm jackets and hot water, we made it through. The app breadwas soft and tasty. The bowl it came in made it difficult to get to the vinaigrette, but still tasty. The calamari also had asurprisingly good taste and texture but it came out lukewarm, which the wind outside accelerated things. We both ordered thespecial of the day. He loved it. I however thought it was too gamey. The waiter was super cool about letting me order somethingdifferent. I went with the lasagna and loved it! A much awaited team outing resulted in us gathering for a team dinner at Locanda Ravello. The team had arrived earlier at the... spot and I was a bit late since it was quite a drive for me from San Jose all the way to Danville ( though one that I could doover and over given the food you are going to experience there is phenomenal) . Happened to reach just in time while the dinnerorders were being placed and we ordered an eggplant parmigiana, pollo parmiggiana, 7 orders of Branzino ( tasted fresh andawesome) , rigatoni siciliana and I placed a to go order for ravioli lobster and a canoli. The team had already been enjoyingthe shshito peppers with some drinking options, prior to me getting there and was the peppers were one to have for sure. Thedinner turned out to be perfect and tasted amazing. Rosario, our server for the evening guided us with our choices and did do agreat job hosting us and addressing our needs. A definite recommendation and a must visit even if you have to drive 50 miles ona weekday ( along with the traffic) . Going back over there soon for more!! Read more
