Disapointed with the Ceasar salad dressing, it use to be great. The pasta itself seemed inferior to past purchases. New owners??

Don?t waste your time or money! Their prices were on the high side previous to the pandemic and they are even higher now, for... the same mediocre service and food. The prices on the menu?s posted online are not the prices you get charged when you pay foryour food. Online a quart of soup is posted as $10.95 when in fact it?s $16.99. That is very sneaky to post one price and chargeanother, thinking the customer won?t notice they are paying more than the posted prices. They have raised their prices on thequart of soup to $16.99! Excuse me?? I can make a whole pot of soup for less. The last time I ordered a quart of thetomato/carrot/barley soup, it had less than a 1/4 cup of chewable substance, the rest was just tomato broth. They say theirsoups are homemade, but it?s interesting that I have ordered soup from another restaurant and it tasted exactly the same, whichleads me to believe the soup comes in from a company such as Sysco. It?s so disappointing to see a restaurant I have been goingto for years, decline after ownership change. The previous owners served great food and offered amazing customer service. Ifyou don?t enjoy what you do for a living, may I suggest you find a different occupation. These owners are more concerned withtaking time off than building their customers. Their customer service has totally gone by the wayside. I asked to speak to theowner a couple weeks ago and he never called. Today I encountered him in the parking lot and asked him why he never returned mycall. He first gave me the excuse he hadn?t been working too much, then he said they go over and above to accommodate me?? Mustbe tough to toss a Caesar salad, which by the way, the lettuce needs to be stored in an air-tight container so the edges of theromaine doesn?t get brown rust marks on it, light on the dressing, heavy on the croutons and a quart of soup for which theycharge in excess of $30+. With all the other fabulous restaurants in San Ramon and Danville, compared to th Read more

I first came here because I thought the name was funny. So so so so glad I did! boyfriend and I had date night every week, and... he always wanted this place. I said we should try *other* Italian places, as we'd go here every other date night. we tried abunch of other places, but they honestly just couldn't compare. this soon became the only Italian place for us, and we both loveItalian lol. it's not exactly cheap, but not too expensive either; he and I would both have a full meal of leftovers because theportions are pretty big, so we're happy with the price for sure. they aren't open super late or every day, so we'd make sure toplan our meals around when they're open and we can come here on an empty stomach!
