We tried the curbside service. Waited 55 minutes after the pick up time before receiving food. They were out of some of the food... we ordered. They substituted a salad for mashed potatoes and French fries for fried cauliflower. I wish they would have calledto see what substitutions would be preferred. The burgers were good. My son enjoyed the catfish and Pork nachos. Overall, Idon’t feel it was worth the wait or price. Maybe it was just a bad night, it was our first time trying this place. Read more
Went here this week with a tour bus. Came with 29 people. Harvey met us at the door and welcomed us. We sat in the back room... and had a great lunch. It was buffet style, of brisket, pork shoulder, potatoes, pork and beans, etc. Food was great. Thebrisket was cooked to perfection - easily pulled apart but not falling apart. Good mix of lean and fatty to choose from. Although all of the food was excellent that wasn't the best part. Upon leaving, Harvey offered to drive his truck as a leadvehicle for our bus to our next location - a distillery around 15 minutes away. He could tell the driver was struggling a biton the tight roads and he knew an easier route to get there. He drove the whole way to the distillery just to show us theway! And that's not all..... About an hour later one of our passengers realized the left their charge card at Harvey's. Without a second though Harvey drove BACK to the distillery to come hand deliver the card . Crazy service by a gentleman who istruly passionate about his business. The restaurant may be named after his dad, but Harvey has done his father proud. Excellent food and exceptional service. First visit to Harvey's last night. Fried pickles as a starter, very tasty. Definitely recommend getting an apatiser as it... took a while to get our entrees. Enjoyed some drinks from the bar before hand. Dinner was very good, large portions of pulledpork. We we're seated at a table in the bar area last night which unfortunately was near the door...very breezy and at timescold. Lol. Good atmosphere and service. Read more
Randy the server/bartender was very interactive and personable. I ordered a Comeback burger of which had great flavor! It was... cooked at just the right temperature (MR) with a freshly made side of seasoned fries. I highly recommend the burger and therestaurant. You can never go wrong with Harvey's! This place is literally on of my favorites in town. The first picture is the Pulled pork... nachos and the second is the pulled pork sandwich(pictures are from two separatevisits). Both are amazing and have a greatsmokey taste. The staff are always nice and know the menu well. I have never left unsatisfied by anyone or anything here. Theowners are also really nice and fun. They have game nights sometimes too. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also amazing.They have pictures from the county's history that I love to look at. I would definitely recommend anyone and everyone to gohere! Read more
My husband ordered the new York strip and was very pleased. I ordered the shirmp and I was not a fan of it. The breading wasn't... my favorite. I also ordered a salad and fries for my sides and they were awesome. My husband had the mashed potatoes and heloved them. The waitress was very attentive to our needs. The atmosphere was calm and quiet and casual. A big plus for mebecause I have anxiety when it gets too crowded or loud. I was very comfortable here. The best part about Harvey's is the atmosphere. It's comfortable and affordable. It is a quick walking distance from downtown's... Main Street. You can park in the parking garage and across the street at night and on the weekends when the bank is closed. Myfavorite dish is the Brisket- its out of this world, but the SW Salad is so good too. Harvey’s hometown bar has been a staple for years here in small town USA Danville Ky. I love the feel and atmosphere of this... place and the people really make it what it is. Art in the kitchen is always throwing it down, putting his spin and touch oncountry comfort food classics. Today I had the shrimp dinner with fries and slaw but the real winner here is the collardgreens! Saturated in juicy goodness every bite had a snappy texture and reeled with that tasty salty brine.
