The food and service are incredible. Emily was a phenomenal server, very attentive. The salmon toast was a delicious experience.... We tried multiple drinks and all were really good. The strip steak was absolutely enormous and cooked perfectly with a fantasticchimichurri sauce. The shrimp and grits was a unique and tasty interpretation. Visually all of the food and drink was appealing! The flavor combinations of the food were very good. The price is very high, we... spent over $60 a person with 2 drinks each, 1 shared appetizer, and one entree each. The portion size is very small for theprice. The house drink was half off and it was interesting. I don't think the flavor of the house distilled liquors is for me.It is reminiscent of a corn liquor that still has that fermented corn flavor, only it's sugarcane. Drinks were overall okay, butnothing spectacular. I think that they have experimented in deconstructing foods that were perfectly delicious in theiroriginal state, and these bold choices may not have panned out. The potato salad that comes with the steak was just giant chunksof potato and green onion, with a sprinkle of blue cheese crumble and almost nothing to bind it or make it creamy. The gritsportion shrimp and grits was a literal fried block of grits... Overall I think this is a decent place to eat with a goodambience, but they need to work on the pricing, portion size, and maybe work on some of the creative choices in the dishes. Read more

I was looking for someplace to get some great wings and this popped up as one of the possible places to get some. I decided to... give it a shot after briefly looking at the menu online. When I got there the only seat available was sitting at the bar. Thankgoodness that was the case because I ended up with Fantastic service from the bar! (Young blond lady wearing a Brazil shirt) Iordered the Smoked Wings added some Roasted Brussel Sprouts and capped it off with the Banana Bread Pudding. All of this endedup being top notch. My only critical feedback is the cost is a little high and the portions a little smaller for those prices.No complaints on the food and ai will be back. Read more

Great atmosphere and incredible service! I went here on a Saturday for a date night and it was a perfect experience. I loved... that The Still offered non-alcoholic mocktails in addition to their alcoholic beverages, as I currently cannot partake but stillwanted a fancy drink! The Aged Cheddar Cheese and tomato basil dip appetizer were mind-blowing delicious... I could have orderedanother and just had that for dinner. I opted for The Still burger with fries and it was flavorful and cooked to the doneness Irequested. My husbands NY Strip Steak with blue cheese potato salad was incredible, he always shares a taste with me... I couldhave devoured his whole plate as well; so good! He also had the Blue Rook Cachaca Flight which was a tremendous deal at only $5and offered a half pour of four of their own spirits. We did get both desserts they currently had on the menu, a Warm bananabread pudding and a Dry stack espresso tart with raspberries. The banana bread pudding was so tasty I will be looking for acopycat recipe once I finish this review, same for the blue cheese potato salad! All in all, a wonderful experience. We had a very nice dinner at the Still. The deviled egg and corn appetizers were both excellent. The salmon was cooked to... perfection and the steak was excellent with the chimichurri and blue cheese. All of the mixed drinks were also top notch andthe sangria was tasty with a splash of vodka. To close out the night we had a few birthdays and they came in with sparklers. We had our 6-year old with us and they took great care to give her cute stuff and keep her happy like a Brazil flag (they werecelebrating for a football match) and simple cocktail umbrellas. All in all this was just a great experience from the food tothe atmosphere. Closest to “fine / gourmet city dining” I have had in Danville. Read more
