While on vacation we always like to try the local ice cream place. We had heard about Friendly?s ice cream so decided to stop in... for an ice cream cone. They were delicious. I had butter crunch and a mocha and the hubs had black raspberry and coffee. None ofthe flavors disappointed. The cones were huge but pricy. Our hostess was the best! Savannah told us about the ice cream andshared a bit about herself which I loved! She also appeared to be the waitress, hostess and dipped our cones all with a smile onher face! Read more
I'm pretty sure the night we were here there were only two people working so I'm not going to give a 1 star review but I've... never ever had worse service in my life. It was so bad we watched a party of 6 walk out after they weren't seated oracknowledged for a long while. Another table near us got the wrong dinner completely. Eventually a guy came out to angrily bussome tables and was banging around the dishes and huffing and puffing. It was so bad we jokingly thought maybe the busser andwaitress were robbing the place when customers came in and they served them to act natural... Now they just run a restaurant. Read more
We ordered ice cream which was good. The service was very slow. Waited awhile to be seated and for the ice cream to come out.... Place was clean. There were hiring signs so I'm sure they are short staffed. Read more
This is always a great and wonderful place for last minute dinner with the kids. My son loves the chicken tenders here and of... course he gets a small ice cream (they didn?t charge for it with the meal). That means the parents get a reason to eat a largesundae also! The steak patty melt was wonderful! The price is what was expected these days in the $30-$40 ballpark for twopeople for food and ice cream. Yes, we get it?they are understaffed, just like everybody else. But these ladies are doing their best to take care of... everything. We waited 20 minutes to be seated, but once our order was placed, the food arrived relatively quickly. I?m glad thatthe menu hasn?t changed much, and they still have a nice variety of ice cream. DO NOT EAT HERE! My sister & I stopped here on the way to CT. as we used to go to friendly's all the time as kids. I noticed the... sign on the door citing staffing issues, but we were willing to wait. There were 4 tables when we arrived. We waited 10 min,being passed by the 2 people working without a greeting or being told they'd be with us shortly. We were seating by the lady inall black (no name tag) and she took our drink order. 10 minutes later she brought our waters. My sisters had an orange dot onher lemon. Idk if it was molding or just taken off another patron's plate. Another 10-15 minutes passed and she came back to getour order. I got the onion ring appetizer and said I'd like to order ice cream. My sister got a hotdog and fries. 20 minuteslater she brought our food and asked if there was anything else we needed. My sister wanted mustard and she started walking awayas I was asking for bbq sauce & ranch. I looked at my sister's plate and there were fresh tomato seeds, mayonnaise and a strangeliquid near her fries. I looked at my plate and there was mayonnaise wiped on it. At that point, I refused to eat. The woman inall black never came back to check on us. When my sister was done with her hotdog, the lady asked how everything was. I said,"my plate was dirty. I didn't eat that food and don't want to pay for it. My sister's plate was also dirty." She said ok andtook the food away. No apology was given. I get staffing shortages, I get that they will only serve so many patrons due to saidshortage, but COME ON! At least serve us food on clean plates and not give us lemons that looked like they came off someone'splate. NEVER AGAIN will I go back to this location. Read more
PROS: This friendly's was bigger than many of it's branches. The staff is very nice as well. Our nice waitress, Braylen (excuse... the spelling) was very helpful and was on top of us all day which was a joy. CONS: The kitchen was very slow for a small crowdand half the tables were still blocked off despite covid restrictions dropping. Meanwhile the place is understaffed with nohostess which made people wait by the podium for 20 minutes before they all just left. I also saw a waitress pick food offsomeones plate with their bare hands in the kitchen before bringing it out to this older lady. They have the slowest possible service you can have. I stood up front 15 min before I was seated. Order burger and fry now... that?s going on 20 min for that. Never seem to have more than 3 people working. Slow service mediocre food. Read more
