The brisket was done to perfection as always. The smoked chicken (leg/thigh) was a bit dry for my liking. The server was polite... but not overly engaging. The table was a bit sticky and the floors had a little bit of debit on them but that's expected.Overall the experience was nice and we will be back again when the appetite for BBQ strikes again. The food here is great, and the service here is impeccable. The helpings were large (got the 2 meat dinner), and were very... filling. The only remark would be that the brisket and ribs were a little dry, but the sauces they have are great, and went wellon them. We also tried their cobblers which were amazing! The cost can be a kind of pricy, especially with a base price of 17,plus 4 for the addition of brisket, but it really was worth it imo. I would definitely come here again. Read more
The manager is a blast. He comes and checks on customers regularly and even gets into some interesting discussions with them at... times. We don't usually sit down and eat late in the evening however I don't recommend going in near closing time as thewaitresses can be rather testy and add the wrong drink to your drinks for a refill... Honestly the wait was too long for the food I received. The chopped pork was to sweet, the ribs were dry and barely had any meat... on the bone. The best thing I had on my plate were the fresh fries and hush puppies. I won't be back. Read more
Food was good, service was good, price wasn't bad. I had chopped pork, great flavor. Slaw seemed generic but wasn't terrible,... green beans were pretty good, hush puppies and fries were also good. My one suggestion for the establishment, clean up theparking lot. Butts everywhere, a broken beer bottle, a baby bib, etc. We almost went somewhere else. Read more
We stopped here on our way home from a weekend vacation. I had the brisket and Amy had the BBQ. We both enjoyed our... meal. Checkerd pig was an amazing experience today. The food was on point perfect portioned, extremely satisfied with my meal my... husband was extremely impressed. Our waitress was one of the best waitress I've ever had. Very pleasant and constant smile onher face. The rest was full the the design of the dining area kept other conversations to minimum.
