Lunch on the patio with our puppy. Food came out fast. Guac was delicious-the chips are soooo good. Generously stuffed tacos... were yum and esp the creative ones? Chorizo and papas and chicken tinga were my faves. Loved the tomatillo sauce that came withour order. Indoor atmosphere looked comfortable but casual ? looking forward to a night at the bar! Best meal I (and the family) have had in a long time. A first glance at the menu suggested we could legitimately order one of... everything...and we almost did. And not one thing disappointed. Oh, this was so good. The spicy guacamole was fresh and onpoint; the accompanying salsas were delicious (if also served in strangely small cups); the house salad, lovely and bright andso good; the rice and beans, perfect; every taco (fish, shrimp, carnitas, short rib) truly great, especially the fish taco--thebest of its kind that I've had in a long, long time--and the short rib, which was magic. Both the house and skinny margaritaswere excellent, both in pour and presentation. You order as you enter the restaurant, then sit and everything is served. It wasseamless and efficient. The place was packed and lively, all of which made for the perfect atmosphere in which to enjoy my newfavorite Mexican in CT. I can't say enough about how great this spot is. Just go. First of all, congratulations on opening a new restaurant! La Taqueria is my favorite place for tacos. It?s official now - I?ve... tasted everything on the menu - and everything is sooooo delicious! I do have some favorites: tortilla soup, guacamole, ofcourse, fish tacos, short rib tacos and tres leches for desert. Highly recommend, if you are in the area. Read more
One of the best tacos in NY/CT area. Great atmospheres made this place perfect for my taco night. Also I really enjoyed Paloma... cocktail. Good food and drink made me just enjoy and relax at the end of a hectic day. It was a pleasant surprise to be able tofind this place. Read more
