My comments are 100% fair. They had ample opportunity to be kind and explain the current Happy Hour situation. They may have... removed all Happy Hour references on their website and ads, but they still prominently advertise "Happy Hour" in the window ofthe restaurant. After we walked into the restaurant and asked about their Happy Hour, all the man said back to us was, "No. No,Happy Hour." Simply saying, "No..." is not the same as explaining why there is a big sign in the window that reads: "HappyHour - Saturday & Sunday 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm", then explaining... Happy Hour has been suspended for Covid, blab, blab, blab. After he said, "No", I pointed out the big sign in the window advertising "Happy Hour" and suggested they might thinkabout taking it down because it "wasn't true". Still, despite my exchange, the man did not offer up any further explanationsexcept another surly and dismissive, "No. No happy Hour." He seemed bothered that we had asked. That was the full extent ofour conversation. Based on that encounter, what is a person to think about the restaurant's customer service? We did not getinvited to look at their menu, so we have no idea what dishes they are cooking. We assumed it was Japanese food. Our firstimpression, immediately after walking in the door, was "Aodake Sushi And Hibachi" did not smell like a Japanese Restaurant, itreminded us of the Chinese restaurants on Wentworth Avenue. We did not base our 1-Star review on the food, or the smellsemitting from the restaurant. Our 1-Star review was based solely on the demeanor and the way the man treated us after the bigHappy Hour sign in their restaurant's window enticed us to go inside and check it out. There was nothing the man did or saythat was inviting. He was surly and dismissive. And, what was our "crime?" We walked in and asked about their HappyHour. I'm just sharing an event that happened at Aodake Sushi and relating that to my personal experiences on Wentworth Avenu Read more

First and last time coming here, the people Are sweet though, but when you drown a filet mignon in sauce, you know the steak is... bad. The steak was extremely dry and the sauce worsened it. The chicken fried rice was cold to the touch as soon as they broughtit out. And the sushi was overstuffed with cucumber, leaving 0 taste of the fish. I'm sorry but I dont think I'll ever come hereagain. Read more

It?s a decent if not typical Japanese restaurant you find here in Chicagoland. The owner?s son goes to the same grade school as... my kid so we decided to give it a try. We ordered bento box, it?s pricy but comes with large amount of food. Read more

We were lied to and discriminated against! We ordered salted egg yolks (which have a custard base) and either they were too lazy... to make some or thought we were 'too white' to know what we were ordering. They gave us fried egg pieces instead. Salted eggyolks taste nothing like what we got. Called back to ask if it was forgotten and they tried to convince us the fried egg was, infact, salted egg yolks in a custard base, made to order. Huge language barrier but they knew. Very rude on the phone too, interrupting us multiple times and making assumptions. They didn't even care what we were saying. I will never return toanywhere in this chain. Read more

Family and I have been coming to this location for years. It is a very friendly and comforting environment with the quality of... food that makes you love coming back. Price is about the same as most hibachis, slightly cheaper. Read more

Great place to go with a small group. I have been here a few times with coworkers and love the atmosphere. The hibachi chefs are... always fun and nice. The remaining staff is polite, respectful, and efficient at their jobs (not rude, just quiet). I alwaysforget to take pics of the hibachi because it's so good that it's gone before I remember. Their sushi is one of the best onesI've had in the area. Managed to get a few pictures in today before gobbling it down. Currently everyone on staff is wearingboth a mask and face shield. This is definitely one of my favorite hibachi and sushi places in the area. Read more

Had the shrimp and scallops with garlic topping and side of golden sauce topping on the side. Large portions for the price.... Hibachi noodles and steak were delicious. Scallops and shrimp were a bit overcooked. I?ve had better hibachi elsewhere, but willreturn to try their sushi. Read more

Absolutely delicious. The waitress was friendly and fast. The hibachi chef was hilarious and talented. He made sure to interact... with everyone and really put on a fun show. Highly recommend for a nice, fast lunch date or family dinner. There is a Grouponand Local Flavor for $15 for $30 (dinner only) but you can go during lunch and just order the dinner portion. The atmosphere anddecor is a little quirky but overall the restaurant is clean and inviting. Read more
