We went to Mic Mac on a recommendation from a family member, the food was absolutely amazing. The service was great, although a... little bit slow, but it was very busy, and honestly we didn?t need anything until we wanted to order dessert and it was only afew minutes before closing but it was no problem. Natalie was very nice & outgoing. She made our experience that muchbetter. The roasted potatoes are fantastic! The au jus for them is so so good but we actually dipped our steak in it which wasamazing. Steaks were cooked to perfection! We shared an app of mussels. It was devoured within minutes. Super fresh and didn't even need the garlic butter or lemon... provided, though they were used. Our drinks were at our table before our server even finished taking our food order. Our server,Kyle, was fantastic. He was super kind and attentive. I had the Sunday special - 8oz steak (bacon wrapped) and lobster. It alsocame with two sides (I chose mash and garlic bread). The steak was perfectly seasoned. The lobster was at least 1.5lbs and wasdelicious. The mash was a great texture and amazing vehicle for the garlic butter that I didn't use (because the lobster wasjust that good). My boyfriend also had a Sunday special, but he had an 8oz steak with Digby scallops, wrapped in bacon. Potatowedges were well seasoned. He finished it in record time. Overall, one of the best meals. We have been trying to get into the MicMac Bar and Grill now for sometime but every time we are in the area and try they are... always packed or it is spur of the moment and we don't have a reservation. Today we happened to be in the area again andthought we would try. We managed to get the last parking spot in the parking lot. Since this was the first time we went thereas a family we thought we would try a few different appetizers. We ordered deep fried pickles spears, Deep fried Calamari, andgarlic bread. The dill pickle spears were crisp and delicious. The batter on the Calamari was one of the best I have ever tried(a must order). The garlic bread was honestly not what I expected. The menu said baguette which is why I ordered it but it wasthick toast with lots of garlic flavour and a lot of real melted cheese which was okay but it could have been better if it werea baguette. For our main courses I ordered a mushroom and Swiss cheese 1/2 lb burger with spicy fries which was a little in themessy side but delicious. My wife ordered the spicy black bean burger with sweet chili mayo which she really enjoyed. The onlything that could have been better is if it had more sweet chili sauce on it. My daughter ordered a once piece fish and chips offthe kids menu and the portions was larger than we expected. My daughter really loved the fish but did not care for the fries asthey were a little soggy from the fish laying in top the fries. Some food for thought would be to serve it on a plate insteadwith the fish on the side. My daughter did enjoy my spicy fries though, which were more seasoned instead of spicy. I would liketo compliment the staff on their promptness, and organization as we went without nothing. Mic Mac Bar & Grill has to be one of my favourite places to eat in Dartmouth . I haven't had anything yet that I didn't enjoy... . I had the Beef Dip with a Caesar salad and everything about it was delicious . The beef is tender and tasty with lots ofcheese and mushrooms , I also had poutine , the gravy is sooo good . The menu is quite large and they have daily specials . Theprices are fair . The only downfall is that they run out of ribs allot so I haven't gotten a chance to have them the last fewtimes I was there . But I believe you can reserve them ? The ribs are the best in Dartmouth . They make their own ice creamcakes , I highly recommend . Staff are always so friendly and they all seem very happy to be there . Kelsey is a Gem , he'sgreat . The Mic Mac Bar and Grill was excellent. We were seated quickly, then were provided with both menus and the opportunity to order... drinks within a minute or two. The waiter was efficient and personable, and he was back just the right amount to make sure wewere enjoying our food and having a good experience. My ribs were perfectly cooked with a delicious whiskey bbq sauce and thehome fries were delicious. My wife's hot turkey was tasty with large portions. Fantastic service. And a variety of great food. I suggest a reservation but I was able to squeeze in at the bar. I started with... the nachos which were some of the best o have ever had. I followed up with the Mic Mac burger which was a massive half lb pattywith the fixings. Definitely a great place to eat and drink if you can get in. Read more
