We come to this location every morning... our orders change with the season, but we almost always get 2 VB Lattes, one at kids... temp. This location is amazing and we look forward to out morning coffee everyday. Today we noticed there wasn't an option forEggnog lattes for delivery, but made a note and they sent us one anyway. Your staff goes above and beyond, all the time. Thankyou. Read more

This is a good that could be great coffee shop. Location is excellent and very clean. The coffee, syrups, milk and other... ingredients is top quality. Price is average for a coffee shop. The issue is that the quality of drinks is very inconsistent, and customer service feels more like any fast food place than a premium coffe shop. You never know if you will get the bestcoffee drink/hot chocolate or the worse watery super hot small drink for 5 dollars +tip. It is best to avoid the drive thru soif drink isnt right you can return it right there and get a new drink and help the barista with training. For the pastries ijust havent try them that much to comment, except for the oatcakes those are nothing like they were years ago when they gottheir pastries from the italian market. Read more

Clean store, cozy environment, clean but crowded washroom and plenty of seating. The staff seemed a little uninterested, but I... won?t judge them for that. The blonde girl working there was friendly, though. I said a small iced vanilla bean latte but wasrung in for a medium, but I didn?t say anything so that was fine. My friend ordered a chocolate oatcake but received a carrotcake. She also didn?t speak up because she was fine with the carrot cake and didn?t want to bother the employees. The sweets alllooked so good it was hard to choose. I didn?t care for my drink, but I?m not much of a coffee girl either so no big deal. Themuffins are definitely not as good as they look. It was hard, stale, and had a strange texture and bitter flavor. Overall theexperience was fine. Definitely recommend sitting inside for a drink and something sweet. Read more

Today the owner of the Portland Street Second Cup tried to kick me out due to my disability Today I went on a coffee date with... my girlfriend at the Second Cup on Portland Street in Dartmouth. When I bought my coffee I was asked to show proof ofvaccination. For those of you who dont know me I have a brain tumor and autoimmune condition. I lived in hospital for two yearsand have been in and out for the last 8 years. Due to my autoimmune condition, Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, I am unable to getvaccinations. If I were to get a vaccination I would more than likely die. Because of this I have a vaccine exemption form frommy doctor. I was the only person my doctor gave a vaccine exemption form to. I gave the barista my vaccine exemption form andshe accepted it and started making my coffee. Then the owner came out and told me that I had to leave and she didn't care if Ihave an autoimmune condition that she didn't want "people like me" in her business. I called the non emergency police and wastold that my vaccine exception is the same thing as a vaccine passport and should be accepted as such. I was instructed to callcorporate and report her. I am honestly shocked and disgusted that people with a disability are being discriminated against inour beautiful community. This is the only business that has treated me this way especially after spending over $30 on coffee andcakes. I am a huge advocate for those with disabilities. I was recently a panelist at The Disability and Work Canada conventionand have fought for disability rights in Canada for years. This should not be tolerated in a place as welcoming and supportiveas Nova Scotia. We need to educate the public and insure that this doesn't happen to other disabled people. It's heartbreakingand embarrassing to be kicked out of a business due to a disability that is not my fault. No one wants to be sick and no oneshould be discriminated against because of their health.
