My husband and I were staying at the hotel and decided to try Trendz because of the menu we had seen online. When we looked at... the menus after our server left our table, we realized that the menu was not the same as we had seen online, and that the mealswe considered trying, were no longer on the menu. When the server arrived at the table to take our order, I mentioned that themenu she gave us didn't offer the same things that we had seen online. She stated that she had been working there for about ayear now, and that the menu we were given, is the same menu that's been there since she started. My husband inquired about adrink that was available on the other menu and was told that they no longer make it. I was also disappointed because a drink Ireally wanted to try, wasn't on the menu anymore either. Had we seen the updated version of the menu, most likely we would haveeaten elsewhere. Due to it being later in the evening and we were tired from the day, it was too late to go somewhere else. Ourserver was good, the prices fair and the food was ok. I was really disappointed in the menu though as it was the original menuthat had brought us there in the first place. We weren't the only ones who were left disappointed, as the same thing happened toanother customer. He stated it was the original menu that brought him there as well. I feel this is a dishonest way of bringingcustomers to your restaurant. You know it's very unlikely they will leave once they've been seated and will just accept thechoices available. I could understand if the changes had just been made, or a couple of months, but a year? That'sunacceptable. Update your menu! Read more
Our waitress Kelly P was amazing! I was traveling with my family from Pittsburgh to Nova Scotia & we stopped here for dinner.... She sat us immediately & was very warm & friendly! She gave us a whole pitcher of iced water for the table & a whole lemonslices up for our water! Very generous! I ordered the Flatbread with pears & goat cheese & the seafood chowder, both wereexcellent! We all also shared the bread pudding for dessert which was delicious! We all enjoyed our food & left happily full!Such a great place & experience! Highly recommend! Read more
Service was very attentive and friendly. Started with the mussels which were lightly seasoned and sitting in a beer-based broth... with nice pieces of focaccia. Fish tacos were quite nice. The buffalo chicken sandwich had a lot going on. There was bacon,lettuce, and cherry tomato on it as well. The vinegar was a little strong in places but was good overall. Read more
Today I was served by Maddie, a very friendly and welcoming person. I ordered fish tacos (sorry no photo), they were recommended... by Maddie and the tacos didn't disappoint. Excellent job in the kitchen. To drink I had a couple of mojitos mixed by Maddie. Shegathered fresh mint from the kitchen as I preferred to not have the mint simple syrup that was stocked in the bar. We just had the Southern Belle Chicken Burger as part of Burger Bash 2022. This is a hand-breaded, butter milk dipped chicken... breast topped high on a brioche bun topped with southern BBQ pulled pork, house-made corn bread crumble and home made southernsausage gravy! Seasoned and fried to perfection. Served with a side of bacon BBQ beans. The above is the official description,ours would be ?the best burger we had in our lives?, combined with fries that had a bit of paprika on it, this was truly agastro experience that I recommend to everyone. Two words....food coma....when the menu states " for the table" they mean it. Portions were huge and flavourful. Prices are... great for what you get. Servers were amazing,not just with us but with the other tables too. Friendly and engaged and thetakeout containers plentyful. A great start to out sister get away! Read more
Quite possibly the most special hotel restaurant around (I went NOT as a hotel guest btw). The bacon Chipotle burger I had was... really good, comparable to many other gourmet burger offerings in the city for sure. They offer a lot of other unique dishes.The fries were perfectly seasoned, and the cheesecake I had was super special as well! Only reason I didn't give five stars isbecause there was room for improvement in the quality of the beef and the cheesecake. Well worth a try, I will definitely beback! Read more
Went to the Trendz cafe a few time during our stay at the Best Western. Super calm restaurant, friendly waitress, menu with a... lot of different options. Loved the little pulled pork bao buns! Read more
