After reading the reviews we were looking forward to trying Ethiopian food. The server was so friendly and helpful. She... explained the menu and gave us a sample to see if the food was too spicy for our taste. The food we ordered was excellent! I have stopped here twice this year, as it is right along the bike path (it was recommended to me by a fellow camper at... Fisherman's Corner, Hampton IL). Both times I had the fish tacos...3 large and generous house made shells, and garnished per mytaste, don't be afraid to mention if you want or don't want an ingredient; they are very open to exceptions. An authentic Ethiopian restaurant full of flavor. I?m so happy I finally got to try this place. The food came out hot and fresh,... the portions were perfect, and the taste was delicious. More people need to know about this place. A friend and I went on a Wednesday night about six, the small dinning room had one... table filled. The server was prompt and extremely polite. We have never had Ethiopian food before and the server gladly walkedus through the menu and answered our questions. We split the combo meal for 2 and a pot of coffee. Ethiopian coffee is unlikeany coffee we have had before, it is savory being spiced with clov and cinnamon. A very nice addition to the meal. The combo for2 an appetizer and the doughnuts for dessert was enough to make the two of us leave happy. We will absolutely be going backand look forward to introducing our friends to the joys of Ethiopian cuisine. Read more
Today a friend and I tried Taste of Ethiopia for the first time and we both will be going back often. EVERYTHING about out... lunch experience was exceptional. We shared a dinner for two, which gave us many choices. Every dish was delicious and unique. The staff, especially Nettie, was kind, attentive and helpful. The restaurant is clean and offers outdoor seating as well. I'dread other reviews and everyone mentioned the coffee. It also, didn't disappoint. This is by far, one of the BEST restaurantsin the QC area. It's a total dining experience!!! Read more
