Just had a scrumptious meal at Restaurant X and it was perfect! Lentil soup was well done, very flavorful and the lobster... bisque was rich, creamy and delicious. We loved the lamb shank, very tender, and the onion broth was a perfectcompliment. Service staff was extremely attentive and a quiet relaxed atmosphere. A hidden gem definitely worth trying!! We had a really great experience here, I had a rose on my table when I arrived, the staff was very friendly and our food came... out very quickly. My boyfriend thoroughly enjoyed his meal and from the few bites I ate of his meal, it was very delicious! Mymeal was just OK, maybe I'm just not a fan of flounder??????????? Read more
Family run business, great food, and a lot of hospitality. Me and my dad ordered lamb shanks and pork chops. The lamb was... incredibly tender and had a beautiful sauce full of flavor. And the pork had a great reduction with flavorful meat. And theveggies were great. Very generous portions. With the friendliest service in Davidson. My family and I always order brunch from local restaurants on Sunday to try new places and hopefully add them into our favorite... rotation. We ordered from Restaurant X and were extremely disappointed. Our breakfast plates of eggs and bacon were hotel lobbycontinental at best. The shrimp and grits were a glued together lump. In the picture the clump doesnt even fall from the forkbecause it's so sticky and hard. Born & raised in the south, our family has never seen sadder grits before. The sauce wassmothering the grit lump and still didn't help. The best part of the meal was the "homefries" which had a good crunch, but noseasoning and probably came from a frozen bag. Read more
Very friendly here! My wife ordered the Pecan Chicken and I ordered the beef brisket, both with mashed potatoes and mixed... veggies sides. Pros: Pecan Chicken was coated very well with pecans and the sauce it came with was excellent. The mashedpotatoes for seasoned very well and full of flavor. Service and food was also very prompt and the staff even tried to take ourfood orders before a table of 19 put their orders in since there were only two of us! Cons: While the staff was very friendly,we had at least four different servers across the meal so it was a little confusing and there was some overlap. When it was timefor dessert we asked how big the creme brulee was and if it would serve two; it didn't sound like it so we ordered two and a cupof coffee for me. We got one small creme brulee to share and no coffee. Read more
