That lingering feeling of did somebody slip something in my drink? Overhearing racist remarks from the stumpy, bald, parasitic,... troll of an owner. Violent minded security armed with a Bowie knife, escalating every situation. Literally being fused to thefloor from the filth and grime. I heard from fellow uc davis graduates that the short bald owner since covid just plays pools and hits on the young girl... students by telling them he owns the bar. The place has changed since I was a student, and it's gotten pretty creepy andagressive staff. Not the same as before. Read more
Let me start by saying this is the first time I have ever decided to dish up a bad review to a restaurant. Also let me state... that I am fully sympathetic to the staffing shortages in so many places, especially restaurants these days. Tonight was a badone for this place. We stopped here on our way home from the Bay Area, ordered 2 pulled pork sandwiches from the menu and acouple beers. We waited over an hour for our food and the place was no where near busy. After a few inquires about ?what?s upwith the wait?? the poor bartender having to manage some hungry customers informed us he had to shut down the kitchen andassured us our food was coming out ?right now?? 15 more minutes did produce food delivered to our table which was half the wrongorder- this after 3-4 minutes was scooped back up from our table and delivered to another table and we were then pretty quicklyafter that delivered our other pulled pork sandwich and ?here?s another beer?? no apology for the hour plus wait. Was our orderscooped up from another table, then rerouted to us after sitting with other customers for a spell? What kind of second handhandling had gone on with these two orders??? I?m totally giving the bartender the benefit of the doubt here- he seemed like agood guy and he definitely had his hands full trying to juggle the bar and food orders and was likely pretty embarrassed overthe whole scene that unfolded. I digress? One of our sandwiches was majority fat and inedible, sending it back was not an optionat that point so we split the remaining food and left. So 1 star for this place tonight- knowing It had a problem and taking ourorder anyway or at least they should have let us know as we ordered, the wait would be long and let us decide if we were willingto wait it out or not. Seems Like this place has been around for a while in Davis?C?mon guys you can do better that what youoffered These first time customers tonight. Read more
Cute little sports bar. They have on-stage karaoke on Tuesdays, and daily drink specials. The workers are all very nice, and... accommodating. The cook even brought our food to our table to help when the bartender was busy, and he was kind too. Reallyenjoyed coming here during out stay in Davis Read more
My son and his co-worker were there Sunday night after work. Who ever was working that night was very rude to them whole night.... They were playing pool and stopped to talk for a sec and that person cleared there whole pool table , they were still playing.They were then by the juke box and was told no more music and he turned it off. So they left and from outside the door theyheard the music back on. Seems like a little discrimination to me! Read more
