Very good food sat at the sushi bar. Try going a few times before but the wait times are usually around 30 to 45 minutes on any... given weekend night. So show up early. Definitely good atmosphere very flexible for work or meeting up with friends. Definitelya little more expensive than other places. Downtown Davis but you pay for the food and great service. They have a decent beerand wine selection so that's nice to see. Also, parking is moderately easy if you go to any of the parking downtown you mighthave to walk for about 5 minutes but Davis is pretty safe so it's not really a big deal. High quality rolls at a moderate price. The service was exceptional, our waitress was friendly and attentative. I ordered the... "Rainbow Roll." It was fresh and I liked the touch of green onions on the top. The menu is via QR code and there are 4different types of menus to look through. Pretty good sushi for the price! The server was pretty friendly and helped make any recommendations. The place looks pretty... modern with some familiar dishes in a Japanese restaurant like teriyaki barbecue and even tempura! They taste pretty cartoony...like the teriyaki sauce was pretty sweet... and the tempura had suspiciously the perfect amount of breading on it for the samecan be set of the shrimp inside... Second time here! They moved locations from the last time I came here and it?s even more spacious than before! We got the 2 for... $55: the asparagus to start, sea steak, and the ninety nine roll and soft shell crab hand roll. To finish, we got the moussecake, which was airy and light with the perfect amount of sweetness. It paired especially well with the hot green tea! Myhusband got the chirashi. We had an amazing experience our first time here. We got the dinner for two deal. We really enjoyed our waiters/bartenders'... attention to answer our questions and give us suggestions. The food here tastes so fresh and delicious. I especially enjoyed ourdessert which was an interesting take on cheesecake. You should definitely come and try it at least once. We sat in the bar areaand that let us easily communicate with our server since we had lot of questions. We will be returning soon. Read more
