Had the Tripa super burrito and it was awesome! Love the salsa and chips bar too. Very good for the price.

Nothing special about the burrito besides its size. We got the super giant burrito, which is two bean rice cheese and meat... burritos wrapped as one. The size is cool but that is the only special thing here. Read more

Best Mexican restaurant in town. Delicious, bright and fresh tasting entrees. The open salsa bar is addictive. Sevice is... friendly and fast even at peak hours with line out the door most days. Go off peak hours and enjoy a most satisfying meal. Read more

Edited: After going to Taqueria on numerous occasions, I had a very bad experience with the guy who works there. He tried to... blame me for ordering the wrong food and the whole time, I was made to feel ashamed at the counter on why I was complainingabout getting the wrong food. Even the way he served the replacement was like a slap in the face. Never going thereagain! --------- Really good food and service. It?s run by a family so you better expect some good taste. Pros: -Amazing customer service; friendly and courteous employees. The young lady who took my order was so nice! -One of the... best super burritos I have ever eaten. I got a super burrito with carne asada and refried beans. I have searched throughout allof Davis for the best burrito, and this is it. -Their red sauce? Perfect. Their tomatillo sauce? Perfect. Their pico de Gallo?Perfect. -Their chips are fantastic and complimentary. Cons: -None. I can't praise this restaurant highly enough. The only conmight be the knowledge of where it is located, because now that I know, I fear that my wallet and weight will suffer! Amazingplace to eat. 10/5 stars. Read more

Great super burrito but there was so little Guacamole I wasn't sure if there was any at all! I would say about 95% of my burrito... had no indication of guacamole at all! A bit disappointing but still tasty. Read more

I started coming here back in 2011 when I was a student at UCD. They made the best chimichanga I'd ever tasted. Since... graduating, I'd moved to IL and could not find an equivalent chimi. After IL, I moved to CT, and ran into the same issue. Sevenyears later, my boyfriend and I finally found ourselves in Davis again, and just had to go to Guadalajara for a chimichanga.Usually when you've been reminiscing about a restaurant, you build up the expectation and imagine the food better than it reallywas. However, we were far from disappointed this visit. The food was stellar- just like we remembered it- and the staff wasabsolutely wonderful and made us feel like valued guests. The gentleman who took our order- who I recognize from 9 years ago-was so sweet and jolly. When we ordered our food, he asked if that was it (we had only ordered one entree), and we let him knowwe were going to split the chimichanga (we can never finish a whole one alone- they're pretty big!). Instead of pushing us toorder more food, he asked if we'd like our chimichanga cut for us, since we were sharing it. When we received the chimi, it wasserved on separate plates, and each half had its own dollop of guacamole and sour cream. No other restaurant has ever gone aboveand beyond like this for us! Even the wait staff was polite and very, very kind. Mind you, I am the kind of individual who isALWAYS disappointed by my restaurant experiences, so me saying these people are incredible means a lot. Also, the restauranthasn't changed at all in 9 years, aside from some tiny price changes, and they still serve unlimited fresh chips, fresh salsaand other toppings, and they do not charge extra for horchata nor any of their other home-brewed Hispanic drinks (they're thesame price as a regular soda). Did I mention you get unlimited refills? Needless to say, if you're craving Mexican food,Guadalajara is the place to go. Read more
