Wonderful family owned place! The Pad Thai, Pho, basil rolls and Tom Kha soup were all fresh and delicious with generous... portions. I wish we would have caught the daughter's name who was taking orders and serving food, because she was kind,welcoming, and genuinely seemed like she wanted you to enjoy your meal. She made jokes and suggestions, noticing when we neededextra sauces or drinks, and was just a nice person. We don't live in Dawsonville, but definitely will be back when we'redriving through. I don?t understand the high reviews. We went there thinking it would be good, but it tasted out of a bag and came out in... microwave dinner containers. The veggies were over cooked and chicken was tough. The table was covered in dust. I wasdisappointed. I don?t usually review if it?s not good, but this was too not good to not review. I love to turn on the Yelp app on my phone and look at local restaurants. We have found some amazing places around the country... this way. Chef Tommy was recommended to me by a fellow Yelp user so we had to give it a try. You have to look for this, it isin a strip mall situated in front of the Walmart across from the new Super Kroger and the Premium Outlet mall. There is an iHopin the same lot along with a Verizon store. It is definitely worth looking for when you visit Dawsonville. Upon entering wewere greeted by our waiter who was friendly and invited us to sit anywhere we chose. The dining area was very clean with typicaldecor for a walk-in Thai or Asian restaurant. There was only one other occupied table and during our time dining two other tablearrived. Our waiter provided menu's and asked about our drink order as we sat. Our waiter was attentive and never let ourglasses empty. He was friendly but not obtrusive. He did not offer any selections but took our order promptly and provided goodservice. We decided to share our meal since we normally bring home a full meal when dining at most Thai restaurants. We orderedan appetizer of Calamari and it was absolutely delicious. It was lightly breaded and seasoned and served hot and was not oily orgreasy at all. Very light. It is served with a Garlic Chili Sauce. The sauce was very good but neither of us tasted any garlichint but thought it was sweet but complemented the Calamari well. For our entree we chose the Pad Thai with Chicken and askedfor Medium spice level since many of the Thai restaurants we patronize can be very spicy at that level if they don't use anumeric scale to base their heat. It was a good size portion and we both were fully satisfied. The meal was decent but neitherof us tasted any heat at all. Probably one of the worst Thai food ever. They used Pho noodles for Pad Thai and was very wet. Curry tasted salty and watery.... Spicy papaya salad tasted nothing hot at all. Our foods arrived later than people who were seated after we came in. Overall nota great experience. Would not recommend. Read more
Fantastic Thai food! Chef Tommy and his family are amazing! I highly recommend the Pho and Tofu Basil rolls!
