Great service and ambiance. We stopped for lunch. Fast service: catfish was excellent, chicken corn chowder (soup of the day)... were great. The brisket sandwich with sauce was so so. The lime cilantro rice was odd (poured oil on it) the texture wasstupendous! Totally recommend this place Read more

First time visit, had heard good things so thought I'd try it. Got the BLT wrap, asked for no onions but got them anyway. Think... that set the mood for the visit. Not overly impressed, will need to visit again before making final verdict. Have been toldbreakfast is where the good stuff is. We'll have to wait and see. Read more

Stopped for lunch today around 2pm. About 7 tables, more than I would have expected. Must be doing well. Ordered a tenderloin... and my gf ordered a BLT. Both were delicious and the onion rings were terrific. Homemade and amazing. I was impressed. A littleconfusion over who was going to be our server but once that got sorted out we were good. Great food, friendly service, pleasingambience, great location. What more could you want. We'll be back....for sure. Read more

This place is a gem! Spotlessly clean--gleaming! Charming. Wait staff friendly. My wife had the stuffed burger.. Delicious. ... I had a bacon, sausage, ham and cheese omelette. Very moist. The best omelet i have had on the road. Trish came by the tableto tell us about the cafe and make sure everything was good. We travel between Chicago and Charleston SC a couple times a year. This cafe is now going to be our permanent stop when leaving Chicago. Read more

It's difficult to capture a homegrown meal without it feeling cliche, however Trish's hits the nail on the head! From the moment... you walk in you can feel the pride of the local community. The food was outstanding and extremely well priced. The staff waskind enough to offer a sample of the gravy they use in their meals due to it being a different recipe. Kentucky style gravy isnow my absolute favorite type of gravy because of this restaurant! The complementary bingets were a pleasant surprise. If youare traveling by or live in the Dayton area it's a must stop. Read more

We found this place on the way north, thanks to the other good reviews here and it was well-worth the quick hop off 65. The... beignets were a nice surprise and we ordered extras for the road. The special of the day was the beef Manhattan and it waswonderful. The kids got coloring sheets and there was plenty of entrees that they like as well. Good prices, great food, excellent atmosphere as the owner really takes pride in this place. We?re coming back ASAP. Read more
