Obviously it's popular but think it's more popular for drinking than their food. Dark little cave. Elsa's take on Mexican food... is below lackluster and I'm sorry to say but service was even worse. Our order took forever and when we got our food it wascompletely wrong. This was my second visit to an Elsa's and their won't be a third. Elsa's is a local staple. The atmosphere is welcoming and unpretentious. The food is a far cry from authentic Mexican, but has... Tex-Mex offerings to fit most palats. If you order a Bad Juan or 2 it really doesn't matter. Bring a friend and you can't gowrong. Read more
Great! It was my birthday. I went back for my free (birthday) drink! They didn't do it anymore. Like so many other places... these days, not honoring a lifelong tradition - but the waitress bought me a Beer. Gotta Love her! Read more

I've been coming here for the past 15 years great little spot with some great food and better drinks a bad Juan will set you... straight. I myself had come here about three weeks prior to my last visit and ordered "Mike's I'm on fire and ready to die"wings and they brought me the wrong sauce on the wings the first time so I thought they were light work. I ordered the samething again for a birthday celebration and they brought the right sauce this time around. Now I pride myself in eating spicyfoods, I've done the Paqi one chip challenge, I've eaten raw ghost peppers and Carolina reapers, I have my own little plant ofboth kinds in my backyard but these wings will make a grown man regret ordering them. I'm not a religious person but Iunderstand the 9 circles of hell because they've been slowly moving through my body since I consumed the three out of twentywings I ordered. Read more

I was working at ELSA'S. When hired in I was warned about bullying, and terrible things that were going on. Unimaginable, I... worked my tail off. Picked up everyone's shifts. Very toxic workplace and environment. KITCHEN AND BAR so unclean. Actuallydisgusting. You would never eat the food if you saw what I saw. I was even told by another employee that ELSA'S is grandfatheredin with the health department. So things are overlooked. I got fired for no reason. A manager who has worked there many years isvery loud and obnoxious, and actually makes fun of customers loudly while they are in bar or sitting at a table. When I startedcomplaining to upper management about things. I was let go I even have evidence of these things. I repeatedly went to uppermanagement about these issues. Was assured they would be taken care of.Instead I was let go. Do not eat there. You might getsick the Fajita meat is cooked on Mondays same meat is used all week. This is a Dayton original that in my humble opinion has lost some of its luster in recent years. The food is still good and... reasonably priced, and the Bad Juan margaritas are still dangerous. Read more
