I love Gionino's from living in Akron so I was happy to discover that they were in Dayton. I've been there a few times since... living here. The food has always been great when I ordered BUT this last time, I was totally thrown off when I used my card andthe man who rang me out threw the pen I was to use to sign the receipt across the counter at me. When he did it I said wow andhe didn't reply back at me with an apology but with "what" as if to dare me to say anything else. If customer service isn'tyour forté, stay in the back and prepare the food and let one of the young ladies service the customers. Totally uncalled for. Read more

Delicious pizzaria just outside of downtown! With thin or regular crust they can appeal to most(I am a regular crust person... myself). We got a large macaroni pizza and it was delicious. The cheese was browned on top, a flavorful white sauce but stillthe slices held their shape well! I'm never a fan when all the topping just fall off when you pick up a slice. Gionino's Pizzeria E 3rd St. Ordered: Jojo's, (potato wedges), Gionino Bread, (garlic cheese bread), regular garlic bread, mild... boneless wings, cheese pizza, caprese salad. My favorite items were the regular garlic bread and the caprese salad. I know thatfried potatoes don't travel well, but I was hoping to be able to reheat them and bring them back to life, but that didn't workwith these. I was not a fan of the Jojo's in general, travel ability aside. The wings weren't great. Gionino bread and pizzawere just okay. I had heard good things about this place, the pizza and jojo's in particular, but it left me underwhelmed. Icould eat that caprese salad every day though! ???????? Read more
