So I met my friend here for dinner we arrived at six chatted for a while placed the order around 6:15 to 6:20. at 7 o?clock I... asked to talk to the manager who came to the table a few minutes later asked what our concern was told him we?ve never waited 45minutes for food especially Mexican food ever! 10 minutes later he brought our food out when we got our bill we were surprisedto see there was no deduction whatsoever when we watched everyone around us who came in after us get their food. We asked themanager why there was no complementary adjustment to our bill he took six dollars not even the cost of a margarita off our bill.there are way too many Mexican restaurants within a 3 mile radius that I will never go back to La piñata. I ordered a steak burrito from La Piñata and it was ordinary, neither bad nor impressive. The flavor was fine, but I have to... question how they served my food, my burrito was an upside down taco not the usual tortilla wrap with a meager portion of chewy"steak". Even my young son noticed the "steak" was chewy. The refried beans tasted fine so maybe I will only order beanburritos in the future. There are many other establishments in the area. Good luck. Not great. I didn?t read any of the other reviews but here is mine. Host wasn?t pleasant, seemed as though something was going... on in her life that she needed to take care of as I only saw her on her phone and her manerism was non-existent. Ordered a few?house made lime margaritas?. We got store bought margarita mix with some ice. It was awful and difficult to choke down. Dinnercame and it was lacking flavor. I ordered the fajitas vegetarian. My meal was made from all frozen vegetables. Nothing tastedfresh, only chewy and lacked flavor. All I could think about was, ?I wish I could just take it home with me and add the spicesit needs to enjoy this?. I very well could have but thats not what we go to restaurants for. We go to enjoy someone else?scooking, so I don?t have to. My husband did the combo thing, and ordered a bunch a different things he wasn?t too excited aboutfinishing up. My son who is 4 had the shredded beef taco and said it was good. First time he had had beef as I am allergic tooit never cook with it. Server was terribly awkward and barely came by. He also seemed to be having a bad day. Never checked onus, and Our check came 20 min later after we had our last bite. He too was non existent, and never once appreciated us, bysaying things like, thank you, have a nice day, etc. By the time we left, host was still deep into her phone. Anyhow, I wouldrecommend trying to find another place if this is your first time going here. Many many other choices along the road. A nice Mexican restaurant with a large menu that includes some traditional dishes. The dining area seems new and the service was... fast and friendly. The food tasted good and was pretty spicy, some dishes might be too spicy if that's not your thing. It waspretty busy when I went but they have a large parking lot and there wasn't a wait to be seated. Read more
