I have been Dining at Roost since it’s opening . It never disappoints. Roost has a very nice menu and wine list . The staff is... professional and attentive. The servers at the bar are top notch. The swordfish , filet and halibut are terrific as are thespecials. The meals I have had at Roost are as good as I have had at really good restaurants all over the country. Read more

I loved this spot! Great food in the Oregon District. I sat outside and enjoy the scenery as people walked by. The charcuterie... cheese board was lovely and gluten-free ravioli I would highly recommend. The espresso martini was also very collectible. Was visiting Dayton from Canada and looking for Italian cuisine. Up until our visit at Roost, we had noticed the service from... many food establishments were not customer service oriented. Once we arrived at Roost we were swept off our feet. ALL theworkers were extremely friendly and catered to our needs. The food was some of the most delicious dishes we've ever had. Outstanding dinner. Lovely spot and really good food. Scallops were outstanding - perfectly done. Filet was also cooked exactly... right and paired with a simple and flavorful Boursin mashed potato. Well planned wine menu made the meal all the better. Andthe service was attentive without being overbearing. Best meal I had in Dayton all weekend. Read more
Service was good. I had beef & lamb ragu. Sauce was very good but meal was ruined by pasta that was both undercooked and... overcooked. They must have mixed two or more different batches of pasta. Other people seemed to enjoy their meals, so might justhave been bad luck on my part. Read more
