Service was good. Both of us ended up sick hours after we left. Scallops Italian, oysters Rockefeller, ahi tuna, red snapper.... The best part was the bread and butter. Clean plate king and I couldn't even come close. Everything was just bad.... Such a great find! My husband and I went to Sweeney's for my birthday because of their seafood selection and were pleasantly... surprised with all they had to offer. From the hostess, to the server (Jacob), to the bread, Alaskan Crab, and homemade CremeBrûlée, it was truly a wonderful birthday meal and experience. We will definitely be visiting here again. Birthday dinner with one of my dearest friends on Saturday, July 9. Started off with Oysters Rockefeller & they were incredible!... Dinner was Canadian Walleye from Lake Erie. Wow! We had an amazing night on 6/9/2022! Our food was fantastic! We had a table of 6 for a Birthday celebration,! Our waitress... was fantastic and had a wonderful personality, she knew the menu, the drinks and great suggestions! By the way my Martini wasgreat! I've been looking for a seafood place around here and this one was perfect! We walked past a cool-looking bar with blue fairy... lights into a dining room with huge fish tanks filled with fish. It was a perfect atmosphere. We got oysters and scallops forappetizers. They were delish! I ordered a fried platter of cod, shrimp, oysters and calamari. It was cooked to perfection. Myhusband got the Lobster pasta and it didn't disappoint. We had a salted caramel cheesecake for dessert. Our drinks were greattoo! I had the shipwrecked one. I have been to Sweeney’s a few times over the years and the food has always been good. A couple of my “jumbo Atlantic... scallops” from dinner last visit were disappointing. Our cocktails were awesome and the service was good. Read more
Definitely going back! The price was less than expected. The service was great. I had the fish and grits and my wife had... sesame seed encrusted sushi grade yellowfin tuna which was amazing. Our son had the fried jumbo shrimp and fries. I've drivenpast this nestled in restaurant plenty of times and for my first visit I'm ready to go again. Thanks for having us. Read more
If you love seafood, you will love Sweeny's. I can't say enough about this restaurant. The atmosphere is relaxing and quiet.... When visiting Sweeney's, stop at the bar and have Doug make you a yummy cocktail or try one of the wines, you will not bedisappointed. Read more
