Is tipping a requirement now. My food was to go I paid with a twenty dollar bill and the first thing she said was keep the... changes for a tip. Not thank you, can I do anything else for you. I get home with my food and the fries were overcooked thefootlong was cold as if they didn't cook the hot dog. Read more

Three stars feels generous. Maybe we didn?t order the right things off of the menu? Literally the worst hot dog I?ve ever eaten... in my life. All I tasted was mustard. The root beer was nothing exciting. The churros were the only thing that made it worth it. Read more

The food tasted amazing. However, the service was pretty slow. I understand being short staff, but don't understand that... everyone that arrived after me got their food before my family did and we had ordered first. All in all though, if the serviceis a little slow... the food and of course the root beer tastes incredible. Read more

If you like a waitress with a bad attitude, over priced food and to wait 30 minutes for a burger and fry, you'll like this... place. All the reviews I read said it was so great and I decided to try it. My wife, son and I ate lunch there and we had threesandwiches, three fries and three drinks. and bill as $35.00. When I asked the waitress about the bill she got angry and gave meattitude. Not to mention that we waited 30 minutes for our food and they weren't that busy. I went, I tried it and won'treturn...enough said. Read more

Incredible food and a cool throwback vibe. Been wanting to stop here for months and we finally pulled in...it did not... disappoint! The house root beer in a glass mug is a MUST. So refreshingly delicious. The food is fantastically fried and notreally "healthy"...so that's why we will be back soon! We didn't get a chance to have dessert, but I can't wait to tryeverything on their entire dessert page. Thank you, Miriam for the excellent service! Read more

While visiting the Dayton Ohio area we stopped at the Root Beer Stande. I saw that it was the Retro Old Fashioned Curb Service... and it was Hot Dogs and Root Beer what a wonderful Nostalgic foodie adventure. We pulled in and the waitress was there"Toot-sweet". I ordered 2 Hot Dogs with Chili, Mustard and Onions. They do not put Cole Slaw on the Dogs here I also ordered alarge Root Beer, which I was hoping was HOMEMADE but not..Tony had his own Beverage of Choice in the car already. The food wasgood! The Chili or sauce on the dog was very good but the onions were strong from being a little old maybe a day or so. But Iwould eat here again, strong onions don't keep me away!!! I recommend this nice little Mom and Pop Retro Foodie Adventure!!! Read more

I was very disappointed in my first experience with The Root Beer Stande. I ordered the "Dirty D" which was ok. The presentation... wasn't the best but, I will give it a pass. The bacon supreme was a big let down. I was expecting the big beautiful hand madepatties that are advertised on FB, Doordash, and their very own website. Instead, I was served 2 frozen patties.????. Thehighlight and the reason for the 2 stars is the beer cheese. It is absolutely amazing and a definite must try. If I decide to goagain, it will be for the beer cheese. Reply to owner: Thank you for the explanation of the burgers. I will definitely comeback and give it another try. I really loved the beer cheese and onion rings. Read more
