We?re bringing our daughter to college and wanted some good soul food BUT what we received was AMAZINGLY GREAT soul food. I had... the fried pork chop dinner with Mac n cheese, cabbage & rice/gravy my daughter had Buffalo wings & fries. Both were VERY VERYdelicious. I was working in the Daytona area needed lunch and came across this soul food restaurant, notice they had smothered turkey on... rice that's when I started driving, also got the collard greens and black eyed peas with it. Maannnn im tempted to drive all the way back down here from Jacksonville for dinner. The plate i got yesterday was so delicious... ???? and the LEMONADE!? Soul food is one of the BEST Soul Food Restaurants in town! Since the Pandemic hit, they are now carryout only. But you can call... ahead, place your order and pick it up. The owners have a nice ventilator system that blows germs in the air back out the frontdoor! Their sauces for their boneless wings are amazing! IF YOU WANT TO BE TREATED POORLY, DEAL WITH RUDE AND DISRESPECTFUL EMPLOYEES THAT IS IGNORANT OF THE PRODUCT BEING OFFERED, THEN... THIS IS YOUR RESTAURANT! I completely hate I had to give them a star, unfortunately 1 was the lowest I could give. They havethe worst customer service ever. I called to ask a question pertaining to their sides as I do not eat meat. The staff taking theorders over the phone are so rude. I asked if it was meat in the greens, the male staff who would not provide his name said,"man I don't know, I don't cook the food." I told him ill just place an order and find out when I get there. He hung the phoneup on me. This is the worst service ever. I wouldn't dare spend a dime with this business. The people answering the phones arenot knowledgeable of the product being sold and they need not to work in the business of customer service. The food may havebeen good, unfortunately I will never know. because the service is horrible. We were about to place an order for 50+ dinners forstaff, I will never patron this business.
