Second time here. We drove about 90 miles, for lunch and pie. Our waitress was excellent, the coffee was really good, our... sandwiches were tasty, and our pies (raspberry sour cream and Dutch apple) were sooooo good. We took two pieces home-- cherrycrunch and raspberry sour cream. (Husband liked his Dutch apple the best.) The drive was worth it, and I can see doing thisabout every 5-6 weeks. ???????? Read more
The food was great and our wait staff was friendly courteous and attentive. Prices reasonable. The wait time to be seated was a... little long. The hostess could have taken a second out of her time separating the take home containers just inform us of thatversus having a scowl on her face as if we were a bother. We both ordered the more traditional Norwegian dishes. He had potato pancakes. I had the Smelt wrap. All the wraps come in... lefske. We had a slice of apple lingonberry pie for dessert. I really appreciated the sign on the door that they were shorthanded and there?d be a wait. Plus they had a bunch of tables marked off so the staff wasn?t overwhelmed. Made so much sense! Read more
The food was ok. I had the hot meatloaf. The potatoes, gravy & sourdough bread were good. I'm iffy on the meatloaf. It was... definitely not what I was expecting. The pie though? Excellent!! I'd go back just for the pie. The waitress was great & it didhave a nice atmosphere. Read more
Don?t! It?s not what you think it might be. It?s not like homemade, Norwegian food. Pie had cold, soggy crust and so so... filling that had been frozen. The main course was icky. The coffee was cold and bitter. The cream does not dissolve in thecoffee. The service was ok, but not great. Read more
