I guess this place is known for its chili, but to me it was just ok; it was mostly big chunks of meat with some beans and... spaghetti noodles in slightly watery yet kinda spiced spaghetti sauce. Burgers were pretty good butter burgers. It was VERY busyfor such a small place and felt really bad for the staff as they seemed to be shorthanded. The kind of beers on tap weresurprisingly well rounded, mixed drinks not fantastic but definitely drinkable. Went there for a retirement party, they have aseparate room for those sort of occasions which was off the kitchen and got our own pot of chili and individually wrappedburgers where you could dress it up how you want. Passing through town on a short road trip and stumbled across the Drift Inn. What a find! The entire experience was awesome. ... Very friendly staff, food was amazing. If you like chilli you have to try theirs. One of the best I've ever had. Highlyrecommend checking them out. Read more
We have a group of 12 older men, play cards, have a few drinks and order dinner...we reserved a table , arrived at 6:00 and... stayed 2 1/2 hrs.. We typically use Drift Inn 6 - 8 times a year and have always had a good experience...not so on this trip...we had 4 different waitresses over our time spent of which 2 were extremely rude and very unfriendly. We spent a total of justunder $300 and did not ask for separate checks so it should have been an easy deal to total the bill and present it for paymentbut our waitress became extremely belligerent and totally non accommodating over how the bill should be processed...all wewanted was to be presented with a total and we would do the math and everyone would kick in their split. She insisted we allcome up to the counter where she could add it up and we would have to settle up there. After informing us of that she left ourtable and rudely slammed the kitchen door. We should have demanded separate checks to really aggravate her but did not. Afterspending $300 at a burger joint we should have been treated better and certainly more respectful. Drift Inn is one of our favorite places to go for lunch. The food is delicious and the wait staff is so friendly which added to... our dining experience. The chili is amazing and be sure to get it with onions and cheese. You won't be disappointed. Burgers aregrilled to perfection and served on a warm bun.
