The place was packed! Ordered food over the phone. Quickest we have ever had food ready! Pappa said it was the best burger he's... had from there. I had the mushroom and swiss. It was one of the better bar burgers I've had. I would recommend this business! Read more

Came here for dinner on New Years Eve with a few friends and we had an awesome night. All 5 of us had the broasted chicken... dinner and it was phenomenal and juicy. Reasonable pricing and extremely great and friendly employees and owner (Pork)! We willbe back the next time we're back enjoying the river! Read more

Best Pizza we have ever had. Not to mention it's the Cheapest! Wife and I ride 320 miles round trip, just to get this pizza,... probably 10 times a year, at least. All the food they have is amazing! Heard so much about the broasted chicken but can neverpass up the pizza! Give this place a try! We'll worth it! Read more

I enjoyed Pork's, and on a personal level I give it a 5 star because it met my criteria of friendly people and great food at a... reasonable price. That being said, Pork's may not be everyone's cup of tea, because it is in an older building in the"downtown" area of the little town of DeSoto, and the main bar is a dark room (and I believe windowless). If you want a bright, heavily decorated, river-view bar with a custom music mix playing then you need to go elsewhere ( the Great River Roadhouse tothe north on hwy 35 is a nice place that fits that criteria, but is more expensive). We were vacationing in the area (a popularfishing and camping destination), and were made to feel at home by the staff and relatives of the owner (who are area farmers). The owner Pork was grilling steaks for an outdoor party during our second visit, and gave us a smoked hard boiled egg off thegrill. There is a large U-shaped bar inside, a breezeway with some shaded seating at street level (ashtrays were visible inthis area for smokers), and a lower, backyard area with 11 picnic tables. It was quiet inside, with just conversations takingplace. They allowed my wife and I to sit in the picnic table area with our dog, and even gave me some water for her. Pork'sfood menu includes pizza, broasted chicken, and sandwiches. We had a sandwich, but I heard from others that the pizza andchicken are very good. Our pepper-cheese cheese burgers were thick and juicy, with a generous portion of tasty cheese, and myorder of beer battered fries was large and nicely seasoned. My wife and I enjoyed it so much we went back for the same meal thenext day. On our two visits customers were a mix motorcyclists, vintage car guys, other locals, fisherman, etc.. On our twovisits the age group was primary 30s to 50s. I highly recommend Pork's, and I'd be a regular if I lived in the area. Read more
