Perfect place to pop in for a quick drive by Breakfast/Lunch! Located just off highway, so if you’re looking to skip the... busyness of stopping right in Canmore, than I strongly recommend checking this place out! Not your typical cookie cutterrestaurant - you can see and taste the effort and uniqueness of each dish. Excellent flavours! I had the breakfast BLT and myhusband had the avocado toast with eggs added. Both very satisfied with our meals! Nice and quiet when we stopped in and servicewas very friendly as well! The good: owners personality, ice cold beer, delicious food with great variety, cozy & quiet environment. The bad: drinks were... pricey compared to the rest Overall an incredible meal at a quaint and cozy restaurant. If you like spicy food, the kick in ourmeals was perfect; just enough to make you sweat but not enough to take away from the experience. The owner does it all and isclearly passionate about what he does. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who needs a meal and wants to support asmall, local business in the Rockies. Read more
Wonderful service! Very attentive! Food was delicious. Duck fat hashbrowns - Yum! Perfectly poached eggs. You like hot sauces?... Make sure you ask for some! Also, in house made ketchup. Read more
I swung in for a bite, and had the best breakfast burrito I've ever had, bar none. Perfectly seasoned, flavors complimented each... other perfectly. The duck fat hash browns melted in your mouth, and once again were seasoned to perfection. This was one of thebest breakfasts I've ever had. Exceptional! You are probably looking it at the reviews thinking it can’t be that good - but trust me, it totally is. We had... an amazing meal. It’s worth the drive, and if you are in Dead Mans Flats - you need to support this great local restaurant.Amazing, friendly service, and the best food I’ve eaten in a long time. Support local! Had an amazing brunch here. Breakfast was served until 3 which was great because we had people who wanted both menus. The short... rib Benny was amazing and so was the pad Thai. Highly suggest trying their homemade ketchup and hot sauce. Server was superfriendly as well. A hidden gem!! I never post reviews but had to hop online to gush about this place. Absolutely delicious food for very... reasonable prices, especially for the Canmore area. Both our dishes were so tasty that I was thinking about them the rest of theday. The tea was also fantastic, I had the cream of earl grey. As a plus, it comes in a large pot. TL;DR Delicious food, amazing owner!! Literally a hidden gem just off the highway because let's be real, you wouldn't expect... excellent food like this in a town called Dead Man's Flats. Loved this place so much we came here twice in one weekend, brunchand dinner. Got the Short Rib Benny for brunch and the Butter Chicken for dinner, and neither dish disappointed. Honestly, fromthe other dishes that I sampled from what my friends ordered, it seems like you can't go wrong with anything on the menu as itwas all very tasty. The owner is friendly and super accommodating as well. It's clear that he takes pride in his dishes (heeven makes his own hot sauce and ketchup) and the overall customer experience. If you want to support a local small businessowner, this is the place to do it! Only recommendation is to reserve well in advance due to staffing issues, otherwise youcould be turned away or have a longer wait than usual as the owner will be doing everything himself. Read more
