I could not believe this restaurant was at the end of a housing development. Goals! I need to live here so I can walk here... every day. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by friendly servers. We asked to sit outside. We were seated at anexcellent bench seat with an umbrella right off of the pier. It was a beautiful day and a lovely view. We started off with aCaribbean Colada and an Orange Crush. I did not know Maryland was famous for Orange Crushes and now I know. For appetizer wegot the Fried Green Tomatoes and Chesapeake Crab Dip. Fried Green Tomatoes Crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. The tomatoes came topped with a shrimp salad, remoulade and grilled corn salsa. The combination was amazing. I was definitelynot expecting the flavor explosion. Chesapeake Crab Dip The crab dip came with warm Bavarian pretzels. This was the best crabdip that I have ever had. I think it was the cheese. The soft pretzels were a great addition. Best crab dip ever and I've hada lot of crab dips. It was so hard to pick an entree. We both decided on the same thing, the Mrs. Maryland. The Mrs. Marylandis a club sandwich consisting of a blue crab cake, Old Bay Shrimp salad, lettuce, tomato and smoky bacon stacked with toastedsourdough bread. We were full and could only eat half of our club, so we took the other halves home to eat for lunch the nextday. We also the Double Chocolate Smith Island cake to go. Honey, when I tell you this was the most moist and chocolate filledcake ever, IT was the most moist chocolate filled cake ever. I also took the Summer Strawberry Beignets home for my daughterand she said they were very good. I enjoyed my food so much I went back the next day. I have referred several satisfiedfriends and family members to Skippers Pier Restaurant and Dock Bar. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely begoing back again really soon. Read more

Skipper’s the real deal and offering the trifecta , superb seafood, great staff and awesome drinks. Located at the end of Drum... Point Road, this restaurant offers an unobstructed Herring Bay. Came here with family for the first time and was asking halfwaythrough dinner service when can we return next. Read more

Worst seafood I've ever had. Don't know why this place got good review but trust me don't waste your money here. For a $31... entree is not even enough to make you full, not to say the taste. Read more

Not sure why this place has good reviews. The views are great and there is a playground, however the food is not good as all.... There crab soup was serve lukewarm, the soft shell crabs platter was also served lukewarm, and was waaayy over salted. Icouldn’t finish it, and for $32 was painful to not enjoy The crab cakes were filled with filler and also not served warm. Wealso could barely eat it. My son had the kids burger, but it was very burnt, luckily they took it off and gave him a small cupof Mac and cheese instead. Our party also ordered the kielbasa sandwich and could barely eat half of it. Read more

?? No Mac and Cheese. They literally boiled the macaroni and added grated cheddar cheese to it as it's hottest. It's sooo bad... that it's worth ordering just so you can appreciate great Mac & Cheese ???? The crab clusters are 5 stars. The crab cake is 95%crab and delicious. The roast vegetables are excellent too. ???????? The bucket drink. Hits the spot like no other. Will beback, again. But won't ever order the soulless Mac & Cheese. Read more

Loved this little gem! Quiet little restaurant right on the water, with a large deck overlooking the bay. The mussels in garlic... sauce were perfect, oysters tasted so fresh they didn't even need any accoutrement, and the fried green tomatoes were pairedperfectly with the garnish- very flavorful. I also recommend the classic orange crush- with fresh squeezed orange juice. We willreturn to try more items on the menu- it was really hard to pick as they had a lot of great dishes. Fast service and everyonewas so friendly and eager to help with anything we needed. Read more

We had a delicious lunch at Skipper’s Pier. It is such a lovely setting on the water. We enjoyed the Maryland crab soup with a... nice amount of spice. The fried shrimp has a light and crispy batter. My personal favorite was the Chesapeake chicken: crab dip, bacon, chicken breast on a pretzel roll, so good. The service was spot on; Audrey was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Wewill be returning. Read more
