Hotel restaurants aren’t often something to rave about. This one is an exception. The room service food was hot(!), carefully ... prepared, and ranged from enjoyable to exceptional (the roast chicken). The breakfast buffet had a better than usual variety, and excellent quality. The biscuits and gravy tasted like a warm hug. Our waitress, Renee, could not have been happier to beworking there. She and the rest of the staff were just great. Read more

I usually love this restaurant but last night was disappointing. Walked in around 8:15pm for a birthday dinner for a friend. The... restaurant was empty except for a few people seated at the bar and 1 man eating at a table. We were not greeted right away.Staff was just standing around talking. After about a minute, we were greeted and we asked for a table for 3. Friendly so far.The man sat us, brought us water and rolls with butter. So far, so good. Then as my friend and I were catching up, I realized ithad been a while and no one had come to greet us or take our drink order. It took about 10-15 minutes before a waitress walkedup looking like she wanted to go home and asked if we’d like to start with some drinks. She never smiled and gave off such anegative vibe. I told her it was my friends birthday and she forced out a really bland happy birthday. (Still no smile) We werekind and smiling regardless hoping things would get better. They never did. The food: I got the amazing butternut squashravioli. Absolutely perfectly delicious and well worth the $21 price. My daughter got the half chicken. She was underwhelmed andnot at all worth the $33 price point! (What? For chicken and vegetables?) My friend got the filet mignon. Asked for medium butit was more like medium/well. It was covered in a pepper crust and way too peppery. Definitely NOT worth the $70 price! Weshould have said something about her disappointment but our waitress was not very accommodating so did not feel comfortabledoing so plus did not want to push out the dinner much later as the restaurant closed at 10. Food is good, but EXTREMELYoverpriced even in this economy. I will be back and pay more attention to the prices and pray for better service next time! Read more

The food and atmosphere did not disappoint! We celebrated our mom's birthday and the staff was great. I would have given 5... stars if not for one waitress that was given 'Why did I come to work today' vibes. Sadly she was one of our waitresses andliterally sucked her teeth because one of our party goers asked for the pop he ordered which she had forgotten. He told herthat's okay; but she brought anyway. He didn't drink it so she had to take it off the bill at the end. No one wants food/drinkbrought to them under hostility. Read more

I went for the Easter brunch buffet and wasn't really impressed. It was overpriced $62/person, in my opinion and mimosas were... $10 a piece!! They also automatically added a 20% gratuity no matter the party size. I used to go to brunch @ Gulios in theHyatt and the brunch was much better. Better selection for your $$ Read more

The food was very well prepared and absolutely delicious. Our server, Paul, was fantastic. Very personable and great... recommendations. I knocked them down a star because the presentation and ambiance was not what I was expecting for the price. However I can't emphasize enough how good the service and food was. I actually spoke to the manager before leaving to give mycompliments to his staff. Read more

TRIA is located in The Henry Hotel and my group of four ate here on our last night in the Detroit area. Our server told us how... amazing the bartender was, but we were all disappointed in our cocktails. I make better drinks at home. Between the guests, wehad the smoked wings, ultimate side salad, lobster stuffed crab cakes, club sandwich and spiced apple crusted whitefish. Thecrab cakes were really wet on the inside. The club sandwich was the best item on the table. I regret not ordering one formyself. None of the other items had any real flavor. We were hoping for a really nice and amazing meal, but the price of thefood ($200 for 4 people) didn’t match the taste and quality. If the cost would have been less, then I would have rated TRIA 3stars instead. Read more

Food was excellent. Paul was great. In and out time was about an hour and 20 minutes on a Saturday with a reservation. Bill for... two with a dessert no drinks was only $75. The food was very good, but I wasn't terribly hungry, Paul was quite attentive tomake sure everything was alright. He was also very upfront about the time to get food out which helped me steer away from foodthat would have taken a bit longer than I like. If I'm in town again we will try and stop by. Read more
