This was my 1st time trying and definitely not the last!!! The customer service was over and above. The cleanliness was... superb!!! The food was fresh and prepared with care!!! Great food, friendly staff. This was my first time here and I honestly can't say enough great things about this place. Our meals... were outstanding, best I've had in a very long time. OMG we have been coming to this awesome restaurant since they first opened in Pontiac. We moved to Ohio 20 years ago but just... happened to find it. The best part is Mike and Mona still have this restaurant in the family. What good memories. Mike use tothumb wrestle the kids. Mona would take our youngest in the back and give her snacks. I've been eating here since the doors first opened, and I honestly don't know why I've waited this long to review it. ... Everything I've had here - including the stuffed lamb, which I've pictured - is excellent. I purposely chose to feature thisdish because not all Middle Eastern restaurants feature lamb. Being Armenian, I look for it in my travels and this dish is ahands-down winner. Just the right amount of spice and onions offset by the rice and lettuce, and I can drink that garlic sauceby the gallon. The inside of the main restaurant is by no means fancy, but it doesn't matter - it's clean, the owners/staff arewelcoming, and the food never disappoints. I'd give Al Shallal more than five stars if I could. Read more
We had my daughter's wedding shower here, it was not by design as all the other better known halls were booked. But WOW!! The... food was outstanding and the staff wonderful.
